One of the worst dining experiences I've had in recent times. We used to be regular customers years ago but decided to give it another try. Now I remember why we stopped coming here. The food was terrible, overpriced, and, worst of all, made my entire family sick for two days. After checking other reviews, I saw that many customers had similar complaints.
We ordered hot and sour chicken soup, chili chicken, dragon chicken, Kerala porotta, and chicken fried rice. Out of these, only the soup and dragon chicken were decent. The chili chicken was terrible—it cost ₹265 but still had bones and even unwanted parts like liver, which I didn’t expect at this price. The fried rice tasted so artificial that we could immediately tell. The Kerala porotta was also disappointing—sticky and too hard to eat.
Service was another major issue. We sat in the family room on the ground floor, and at the time, there was just one other family there. However, one staff member kept staring at us the entire time, making us extremely uncomfortable. The whole point of a family room is to have some privacy, but this person was constantly monitoring every table, making it awkward for everyone. I noticed other families also feeling the same discomfort.
The final issue is the pricing. They overcharge for food and provide such terrible service that there is absolutely no value for money. They even include decimal places in the bill but don’t bother rounding them off. If I pay in cash, will they return the remaining paise? No, right? So why expect it from customers in the first place?

Read moreIts my first time telling i hate a restaurant. God gives food to eat and i thank God for that. 🙏But the food was terrible and i blame it on the attitude of the restaurant. I cannot blame God for that because it was my choice to go in. I should have just gone to Radhas(a small shop next to this), but seeing it as a small restaurant, i didnt and opted for this mistake. (Dont judge a book by its cover,i learnt)🤔🤔🤔
Usually its one of the either things that can be terrible in a restaurant. Food or service. Here both of them were racing together to get the first position for being terrible. 😐😑While i was seated there, people were complaining of wrong orders. One man was bold enough to ask the waiter to take everything away. 😎😎He had ordered for a chilly chicken boneless and apparently he got it with bone. When he pointed it out, the waiter was like : what's the difference, since it tastes all the same....!!! The nerve...!! 😑😖😠
I had just ordered a paratha shawarma and it took more than half an hour, despite just 4 to 5 occupied tables inside the restaurant. It was not as i expected. Just bland. Dont want to tell about the order my friend took, a cold mutter paneer masala. 😳😳Please, there are better options in Trivandrum whose service is much better than their food. We dont have to put up with trash attitude like these. And when you face similar issues, put a heads up like this, so that others...
Read moreHad a great experience dining at Open House. The place has a nice, welcoming vibe with friendly staff who make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. But what really makes this restaurant stand out is the food.
I ordered their Chilly Chicken and it was absolutely delicious — tender pieces of chicken perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice, heat, and flavor. The portion size was generous and every bite was full of taste. It’s clear that they pay attention to the quality of ingredients and preparation.
However, the true highlight for me was their fried rice. It’s no exaggeration to say that the fried rice here is iconic. Perfectly balanced, not too oily, and packed with flavor — it complemented the chilly chicken beautifully. You can tell it’s a crowd favorite for a reason.
Overall, Open House offers a great combination of tasty food, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Whether you're dining in or ordering takeout, this place won’t disappoint. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality...
