I have been a loyal customer of Favorite Pizza in Chalukunnu, Kottayam for the past 15 years, and I can confidently say that it is the best pizza place in town. The quality and taste of the pizza are unparalleled, making it a go-to destination for any pizza lover.

Hidden gem! They are slightly away from the city center and hence not very busy during multiple times we visited. Good portion, flavorful and neat premises. Yesterday, we had Risotto Bologna and Cheese pizza with fries (kids size). Well made and tasted great! The Bolognese sauce was not overpowering either. We had Tiramisu as well, which tasted good - make sure to order along with main course, else certain parts of the Tiramisu may turn to be very cold as they store it in freezing temperature.

We have had Chicken burger and Chicken Steak before. Burger is always consistent in taste, though the sauce that accompanied the steak was overpowering with pepper. Gave them the feedback and hopefully it’s addressed.

As someone else mentioned in their review, they need to make a note on cleaning the Menu cards. And, they do home delivery (they are not on Swiggy and Zomato yet) - please do check with them on the rates of delivery beforehand.

Another pleasant surprise in Kottayam!

Now, don't get me wrong. I am not saying that this is the best pizzeria we've ever been to. But, for what it cost, it was definitely worth it.

We ordered a medium-sized cheese pizza and a medium-sized mimosa pizza. Both had good quality toppings in sufficient quantity, especially the amount of cheese. We got a couple of really good cheese pulls. Very flavourful, filling bites.

In the Margherita (the cheese pizza), they've tried their own sauce. I appreciate the attempt. The flavour, though, is a little too light in my opinion. Or, maybe I am just used to stronger tomato sauces on Margherita pizzas. The basil flavour was a surprise though, and a good one at that.

Overall, I have one feedback: the crust. Yes, it was not too thick. And it was baked well. But I'd like something less dense. And wood-fire, if that's possible, could take this place to the next level.
