Restaurant Review: Inconsistent Special Meal Experience I recently had the opportunity to try the special meal at a restaurant, and I must say that the experience left me with mixed feelings. The special meal consisted of 14 items, and here's a breakdown of my observations: Starting on a positive note, the pickle served with the meal was a safe bet. It added a tangy and flavorful element to the overall experience. The curd, most likely a packaged product, was satisfactory and served its purpose well. The appalam, being fried and fresh, provided a delightful crunch, earning a thumbs-up. Moving on to the dessert, the combination of ice cream and gulab jamun was pleasing. However, the gulab jamun's minuscule size was a disappointment, although it managed to pair well with the ice cream. It is worth noting that both items were likely pre-packaged and simply served. The sambar and dal presented a perplexing taste, as both had a similar flavor profile. This lack of distinctiveness made it challenging to discern the individuality of these dishes. The rasam, consisting of water, pepper, and coriander leaves, lacked the depth of flavor one would expect. The biryani, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. It seemed as though the rice had been mixed with some curry, resulting in a rather unremarkable flavor. On the other hand, the white rice, being simply boiled, provided a safe and reliable option. The chapathi fared better with its well-cooked texture and nicely browned appearance, reflecting a decent level of skill in preparation. However, the paneer butter masala was a letdown. It was excessively sweet, to the point where it resembled a cashew nut payasam rather than a savory dish. On a more positive note, the Gobi Manchurian and carrot thoran managed to satisfy the taste buds. These dishes showcased flavors that were well-balanced and enjoyable. However, the vegetable soup fell short of expectations, lacking the depth and richness that one would typically associate with a soup. Regrettably, the overall service at the restaurant did not meet the mark. While some dishes had their moments, the inconsistency across the meal was evident. It is essential for a special meal to provide a cohesive and satisfying experience, which was unfortunately lacking in this case. In conclusion, my experience with the special meal at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While some items such as the pickle, appalam, ice cream with gulab jamun, chapathi, Gobi Manchurian, and carrot thoran were enjoyable, there were notable disappointments like the paneer butter masala and the underwhelming biryani. The service also fell short of expectations, lacking the attention to detail and overall consistency that one would hope for. I believe there is room for improvement for this restaurant to elevate its special meal experience by refining flavors, ensuring consistency, and enhancing the overall service.

Was shopping with family at kottayam and wanted to experience the taste of chennai masala dosa, so decided to go here.. headed straight upstairs. The ambience was okay... ordered masala dosa for me and kids and wife ordered noodle soup. The items were served quickly. She took a spoonful first and for the second spoon, there was a piece of newspaper in the soup. Jokingly called the staff and said, I read the news today so didn't want that in the soup. They quickly got a new one and said, you won't find one in this... which got me thinking how good the hygiene is maintained in such a restaurant. People visit such places thinking they should have good hygiene, but was disappointed.

It was an absolutely delightful experience! The ambiance is warm and welcoming, perfect for a casual dining outing or a family get-together. The menu offers a wide variety of vegetarian options, with dishes that are both flavorful and well-prepared. I particularly enjoyed their signature South Indian dishes like dosa and idli – crispy, fresh, and served with tasty chutneys and sambar. The staff is friendly, attentive, and ensures that your dining experience is comfortable. The food is always served hot, and the portion sizes are generous for the price. Overall, Aryaas Veg. Hotel offers a wonderful dining experience for vegetarian food lovers.

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 9:00 AM, I arrived at Hotel Aryas Grand near Kottayam Railway Station after a morning train journey from Thiruvananthapuram and was hungry. I entered the hotel because of its external appearance and the Aryas brand name, which is known for its vegetarian cuisine. However, when I ordered appam (rice pancakes) and vegetable stew, the appam was cold and stale. The curry was hot, so I was able to eat it, but I immediately complained to the waiter about the cold appam. He simply replied that it was not hot. I asked why they couldn't have told me when I ordered it that there was no hot appam available, but I received no response. The staff was very rude. I also complained to the person at the counter about the poor service when I went to pay the bill, but he didn't respond. He seemed to be implying that I could just eat and leave if I wanted to.

When I asked for the toilet, I was directed to the cellar. I was shocked to see that the place was filled with discarded food and was extremely dirty. The door was broken and couldn't be closed properly. It is disheartening that a hotel in the heart of Kottayam town can operate in such a deplorable manner without any attention from the municipality, health department, or food...

One of the most trusted Vegetarian restaurants in the city.Good for South Indian as well as Chinese cuisine. Also have a variety of combo offers to choose from. The menu has a lot to offer from soups to ice creams and fruit salads. The food is freshly prepared and served in hygienic conditions and is also Tastey,at an affordable rate.It usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes to serve the food during peak hours. The place is well maintained with good lighting and seating arrangements and facilities like clean and comfortable washrooms. They have both Ac and Non Ac dining options. The punctual and polite staffs along with the great ambience makes it a great place to take ones family with them.At times it might be overcrowded and one have to wait for a short time before fitting in.Being located at the center of the city, its easily accessible. But there are issues with the parking since the space available for parking is comparatively less.Payment can also be...
