Fress Trees Garden & Cafe — Restaurant in Kerala

Fress Trees was one place that we found on the map near Edapally around 11 pm to have dinner after a long day. It's is close to the main junction and easy to find which has ample parking. It's a cafe inside a beautiful nursery which serves good food all the way till midnight.

The nursery was well maintained and greenery around felt good. Even though it's an open cafe I never felt the heat because of the air circulators. They have a good collection of plants and pots you can buy and bring home so while your order is getting ready you can walk around the nursery, to find something you like to take home.

We ordered the Spicy Mango Chicken Salad, White Sauce Pasta, Lemon Iced Tea and Iced Eclair Latte. As the name suggests the salad was spicy, the raw mango gave it the tanginess and had generous amount of protien in it. The pasta was also nice and had the right amount of creaminess and good flavour. If you like chocolate then you can try the eclair latte which is my personal favourite now although it wasn't good enough to beat Kochi summer heat which the lemon iced tea did! Iced tea was really refreshing and I feel it's the best drink during summer.

Overall, a great place to have good food and shop plants, especially if you are around Edapally...

We ordered chaat today and it was funny what I heard from the waiter . The amount as in the menu was increased to 30 percentage because we sat in the table instead of standing and eating . He said it was written in the menus card but it was not written nor was it mentioned to us at the time of ordering . Above all the food itself was delayed. Funny that they did allow us to take 15% off because I was was using zomato gold because their server wasn’t working correctly. It was pathetic behaviour from the waiter who did even apologise for his blunders. When we asked for a samosa he said it can ordered as chaat , even a road side chaat person will have better behavioural skills than this person. The surrounding was filled with cigarette buds . How come a place where smoking is completely banned has so many cigarettes. Hope Cochin corporation takes proper acation.
