Our recent visit to Hazza Restaurant in Muttom was nothing short of spectacular! We had a large group of about 50 people, ranging from babies to seniors, and we were blown away by the impeccable service, attention to detail, and, of course, the extraordinary food. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff and warm ambiance made us feel right at home. This place combines the best of traditional Kerala flavors with modern hospitality, creating a dining experience that leaves you wanting more. One of the highlights of the meal was their specialty dishes, which truly showcase the unique and authentic flavors of Kerala cuisine. We began with the Kuttan Thengapaal Moripporotta, a delightful dish that perfectly combines the rich flavors of thick coconut milk with tender parotta. It was a perfect start to the meal, offering a creamy, spicy kick that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The Thengapaal Pathetic Beef Varattu was another standout. The beef was cooked to perfection – tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. It’s a dish that’s difficult to find elsewhere, and Hazza Restaurant has absolutely mastered it. Another favorite was the Nidhi Porotta, which was soft, flaky, and paired excellently with various side dishes. Their Fish Thawa Varieties offered an incredible selection of fresh seafood cooked to perfection. Each fish item was distinct in flavor, showcasing the kitchen’s skill in seasoning and preparation. Alongside the fish, the Chicken, Beef, and Mutton dishes were also exceptional. Each dish was seasoned with care, cooked just right, and beautifully presented. Beyond the food, Hazza Restaurant's hospitality and service set them apart. The staff was attentive to every need, and despite the size of our group, they managed to accommodate us smoothly. From handling the needs of the younger kids to ensuring that the seniors in our group were comfortable, the team at Hazza went above and beyond. The restaurant was immaculate, with attention to cleanliness and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that made us all feel comfortable. Special mention goes to the owners, who greeted us personally and ensured that everything was up to the mark. They genuinely care about their customers, and it shows in every aspect of the experience. The staff was equally friendly, always ready to assist with a smile, and very patient with the children in our group. It’s not every day you find a restaurant that can handle a large, diverse group with such ease, but Hazza Restaurant did it perfectly. In summary, Hazza Restaurant in Muttom is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Kerala cuisine, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that feels like a second home. From traditional dishes like Kuttan Thengapaal Moripporotta and Thengapaal Pathetic Beef Varattu to a variety of fish, chicken, beef, and mutton options, this restaurant serves up unforgettable flavors that will leave you coming back for more. With a team dedicated to making every guest feel special, Hazza Restaurant has truly earned our highest...
Read moreThe simplest wish you could have for a weekend is a simple nice meal alone or with your family or friends in a not so obnoxiously costly place. Hazza restaurant meets all these criteria. Situated bang on the Salem Kochi Highway at Mutton this place holds a festive look with all its glittering lights and is hard to miss even if you drive like Schumacher!!! The place is relatively new but the number of vehicles parked outside tells you the instant charm that the place has created with the locals and also the not so locals. There is plenty of parking space and the parking assistance by the security is appreciable. The place was full when we arrived and so had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. We killed time by browsing through their open bakery and the Chai Truck. The clientele was a mix of college goers, bachelor's, groups of friends and families. The premises (including the hand wash areas) is clean despite the crowd. The specials of the day are put out on a pin board. Being the first visit we ordered the days recommended special. We noticed the service was wee bit slow as the waiters were limited. If you are going in then make up your mind on your orders and place them in one go, it will be difficult to catch the attention of the waiter repeatedly. The food was good and the prices were better. A full meal for four individuals would cost about ₹1000/- which is very reasonable for this city. The tea and coffee is strong and served hot.. just wakes you up for the next leg if you are on long drive. But for the slightly slow service, it is a good place and you should try. The attached bakery is average and can be...

Visited Hazza Restaurant & Bake House recently. Here's my honest breakdown:
The Good
A Few Standout Dishes:
Kalyanachoor: Tasty, though priced
steeply at ₹300.
Kuttan Thengapal Porotta: Rich and flavorful.
Padiri Rice with Chicken: Well-prepared and satisfying.
The Bad X
Inconsistent Taste:
Many dishes lacked basic seasoning (e.g., salt imbalance).
Only 30% of the menu delivers; the rest are average or below par.
Exorbitant Pricing:
Terrible Service:
Review of Kochi Marriott Hot...
Dishes priced at 250-300, which is 40-50% higher than local competitors, without justifying the quality or portion size.
Slow & Unprofessional: Long delays for orders, even during non-peak hours.
Rude Staff: Refused simple requests like adjusting AC temperature. No warmth or flexibility.
Poor Cleanliness:
Dirty Floors & Tables: Sticky surfaces and uncleared leftovers.
Broken Crockery: Cracked plates/
cups used for serving.
Foul Odors: Restroom doors left open, spreading unpleasant smells into the dining area.
Final Thoughts
Hazza feels like a cash grab with zero regard for customer satisfaction. The few good dishes are overshadowed by sky-high prices, unhygienic conditions, and appalling service.
Suggestions:
Train staff in basic hospitality and hygiene.
Revise pricing to match portion quality or improve ingredient standards.
Invest in cleanliness and maintenance.
Verdict: Avoid unless you're desperate to try their 2-3 good dishes. Better options...
