Navya Bake Shop, MG Road — Restaurant in Kerala

I have been a fan of Navya Bakery even before they opened in MG Road. Always assured of great products . Absolutely no compromise on quality and taste. This branch situated at a key junction in Kochi, is no exception. Always the warmest, most pleasant service from the team headed presently by Mr Ashbin. They never forget to add a personal touch. This is what makes them distinct and unique.

Since this branch has opened, I have bought and send packets of chakka (jackfruit) chips, murukku, kappa and banana chips (ripe and unripe) to family and friends across the country. (Once they even packed and sealed the entire package for me)

Their pickles are finger licking good! Especially the date and lemon pickle is a staple at home. And during Christmas time, their plum cakes are a delight adding to the festive mood. Recently they showcased very nice Christmas hampers which are an instant classic when you need to visit relatives.

Last year I bought a pack of fried items from their M.G. Road shop…went home and saw the expiry date.. had a couple of days till expiry. Went back to them with the unopened pack to get it exchanged. They made a big deal of it and refused to exchange it for a fresher pack. My wife left the packet there and we were about to leave the shop parking … when they came back and agreed to change it.

I had promised myself to check the dates next time. I had forgotten about it and went back yesterday and bought a pack of Cheepappam. Came home and checked the expiry date. It was expiring in one day… manufactured a month back!

I agree, my bad. Caveat Emptor. Let the buyer beware.
