Absolutely pathetic sales service from Godrej salesperson!
I received my office chair with damaged tilt. The issue was reported within minutes of the product being delivered.
Multiple service technicians failed to respond to case on schedule, delaying multiple weeks.
I was told later it would take another 3 weeks to repair it, a total of 5 weeks from purchase before I could use the product.
I demanded a full refund for the defective product.
I was informed on call that the refund had been initiated but following this, several calls to check the status were not picked up by the salesperson or the store. So, I decided to visit the store and found that the approval mail for the refund was not yet initiated by the salesperson who sold me the chair (employee details on invoice), despite her telling me on call that she did.
She lied several times about action she had taken to proceed with the refund and never followed up on the time that she mentioned she would provide a status call back.
Her male colleague also tried to deflect on her behalf on multiple occasions with false assurances and refused to provide written confirmation of my refund being initiated until I pressed for details and he had no choice but to follow through.
The date on the mail where I've provided information for processing refund and the date on the refund form sent from Godrej are clear indications of the misinformation provided by the salesperson and the delay in initiating it.
I eventually called the Godrej Kerala Branch Sales Head to mention my experience and the pathetic service provided by their sales employees.
Only once this was raised to the Sales Head did the store call back to initiate my refund. At this point it had been several days since I had asked to initiate it.
Faulty products happen but the misinformation from salesperson in addressing the customer's issue on time and her consistent lying are inexcusable.
Godrej retaining these individuals with no corrective action against their poor service reflects poorly on the organization.
I see several other aggrieved customers in these reviews and would advise them to never give the store the benefit of the doubt. The salespeople have demonstrated on multiple occasions that they count on the customer's leniency to deceive them.
If faced with prolonged failure to remedy such issues, pursue the fullest extent of legal action against such unethical sales...
