Nestled in the heart of culinary delight, this charming eatery was unveiled to me through the gracious recommendation of my esteemed colleague, Aswathy. Her thoughtful suggestion opened the doors to a dining experience that transcended mere satisfaction, ushering in a realm of wholesome indulgence and joyous discovery. From the moment I crossed the threshold, I was enveloped in an aura of warmth and positivity, emanating from the delightful old couple who preside over every aspect of this establishment. Their dedication to promoting not just healthy eating but a holistic lifestyle radiates through every detail, from the meticulously crafted menu to the serene ambiance that envelops you like a comforting embrace. Prepare to embark on a tantalizing journey of flavorful delights, with each dish expertly crafted to nourish both body and soul. Drawing inspiration from nature's bounty, the menu boasts an array of diet-friendly, millet-based creations that elevate the art of healthy dining to new heights. Freshness reigns supreme here, with ingredients sourced daily to ensure the utmost quality and vitality. But it's not just about the food; it's an immersive sensory experience that engages all the senses. Picture yourself seated by the window, bathed in the soft glow of natural light and serenaded by the gentle caress of a refreshing breeze. It's a setting that invites you to savor every moment, elevating your meal from a mere culinary delight to a symphony of joy and well-being. And let's not forget the thoughtful touches that set this place apart – from the absence of drinking water (for a healthy reason, of course) to the wealth of educational materials that promote mindful eating and holistic wellness. It's clear that this isn't just a restaurant; it's a sanctuary of happiness and vitality, where every visit leaves you feeling nourished, rejuvenated, and deeply grateful for the journey. In essence, if you're ready to treat yourself to a culinary adventure that nourishes both body and soul, look no further than this delightful establishment. And to Aswathy, whose gracious recommendation led me to this hidden treasure, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for sharing in the joy of discovery.

If you want to eat healthy, this place is for you. It's not only about what you eat but also about the way you eat and the way they are served. Vegetables and millets and no drinking water(there is a healthy reason for it). Food is fresh, made to be most healthy for your body than to romance your palate. Each dish is unique to taste and leaves you happy to have honoured your body's fitness. The seat beside the window with breeze blowing in and natural light was also my favourite alongwith the food. The old couple who run the eatery is pleasant, positive, courteous and down to earth. The eatery is not only promoting their food business but also the healthy way of eating. They have books, pamphlets that convey the message. They even sell millet based food items and confectionery

This restaurant is a great reminder for your taste buds to embrace healthy eating! They serve a variety of delicious millet-based dishes. The food tastes good, though you need to be open to trying new flavors. The interior and seating are decent—nothing fancy but comfortable. The portion sizes could be slightly bigger, especially given the pricing, but considering the health benefits, it feels worth it. They also have a shop selling millets, health powders, and more, which is a nice touch. Definitely recommend this place for health enthusiasts. Since the dining area is in second floor and doesn't have an elevator, persons with disability/wheel chair access will be a problem. However,A must-visit for anyone in Trivandrum looking for healthy millet foods.

Let me begin by saying that this place is strictly a restaurant for Old People (60^). The reason being they lack enthusiasm to experiment or take risk. I have been to many such places that uses very less to no spices and some even raw food who managed to put life in food by going the extra mile to take risk. I've even had such places serve experimental dishes free of cost just to get feedback. Here they have kept everything to bare minimum. Went there one afternoon when they had just meals. It had rice, 1 curry, few side dishes and something that was called 'soup' by them. I personally hated everything except the honey amla that was served at the end. My aunt who was with me did say that since she has digestive issues, the food was good for her. I asked if she enjoyed the food to which she replied a plain No. They do use all organic products and no sugar and kept everything to a bare minimum, a bit too minimum. Other than that, the place was not well lit. The wash area was way too congested. The chair was not cleaned as few drops of some curry or juse was still on it probably from a previous customer. They do have a store attached that sold lots of organic products and few books. The guy at the counter himself is an author of few of them. The place is on the first floor that's lead by quite a narrow step which many old people will find quite challenging to climb. Parking space is available for both 2 and 4 wheeler. I really hope they improve on the recipe and add something...

A Truly Nourishing Experience at Patthayam!

I recently visited Patthayam after nearly 13 years - we had first dined here back in 2012 when the restaurant was located at Statue. To my delight, the experience was just as amazing, if not better!

Patthayam is a haven for anyone who is health-conscious or looking to enjoy nutritious food without compromising on taste. Their approach to food is both thoughtful and scientific. The meal begins with enzyme-activating ingredients like fresh cut fruits, sprouts, etc. - a great way to kickstart and trigger digestion. This is followed by a warm, comforting vegetable soup, and then the main course, which is cooked without masalas yet remains absolutely delicious. Each bite feels light, wholesome, and full of vitality.

They offer various affordable packages including millet-based meals, chambavari rice options, and healthy combos. In addition to the meals, they also have a great selection of healthy snacks, bakery items, organic homegrown vegetables, and a few essential grocery items - making it a complete wellness stop.

And of course, a special mention to Dr. Gangadharan, the visionary behind Patthayam. He truly needs no introduction. It was heartening to see him again, still as radiant and full of energy as he was 13 years ago. May he continue to serve society with such nutritious and healing food for many more years to come.

Highly recommend Patthayam to anyone who values mindful eating and real...
