I recently visited Royal Bakes and Restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the vegetable biryani and a traditional South Indian meal. The food was served hot and fresh — the biryani was flavorful with perfectly cooked rice and a good blend of spices, while the meal had a variety of items that complemented each other really well. Everything tasted homemade and satisfying.

The place was extremely busy, which shows its popularity. There was a constant stream of people coming in, and almost all the tables were full. Despite the crowd, the service was fairly quick and the staff were polite and efficient.

The restaurant is conveniently located by the roadside, making it easy to find. However, one downside is the lack of proper parking space — it was quite a challenge to find a spot for my vehicle, especially with so many people around.

On 7/9/2025, I visited Royal Bakers, High Court Junction, Ernakulam with my family. The menu displayed a Chicken Biryani priced at ₹190. At first, I thought of leaving because of the price, but since I had children with me and we were already tired, I decided to eat there.

I ordered one half chicken biryani and two full chicken biryanis, but the bill came to ₹510. To make matters worse, the biryani served contained mostly bones, with very little proper meat.

When I questioned the billing staff, the reply I got was that “if you had asked, we would have changed it.” This is unfair—customers should not have to argue or ask twice to get correct pricing. Moreover, there was no real difference in the quantity between the half and full biryani.

This amounts to unfair billing and poor-quality food service, which is completely unacceptable. This was my first such disappointing experience, and I will never visit Royal...

Very bad experience from this outlet,really disappointed.. the entire staffs and waiters were utter worst fellows, they won't respond to the customers on time especially the small dine waiter, all other customers we ordered fried rice,chilly chicken,fresh lime,egg puffs and tea..we waited almost around 1/2 an hour then they told us snacks and tea were not available and they bought only one plate fried rice.. that much negligence they were showing to the customers.. plz don't go this...
