Oh my I can't believe what happened to this ! I have been here few weeks back had a lunch and ordered the same thing what a I had last time Al Ashrouf chicken. We planned to go to zatar restaurant but I pursued my friends to go to slice of spice because of my last experience which was awesome! Today I am totally disappointed with the service and the quantity and the quality of food the masala of the chicken was as usual awesome but the size of the chicken was like a quail there was blood in the inside the meat. Talking about the service is very very disappointing nobody was there to take orders and no water on the table we asked for some water I believe he is the owner who gave us a bottle water then we had to call him again to provide us some glass to pour our water. What a terrible and horrible situation it was I never ever gonna come back to this place the dealing with customer was terrible they don't really even care about the customers. Even their bathroom is not clean I can see the used tissue on the floor I will never recommend anyone to go to this place my total bill was 670 for this price there is nothing good to mark. So far my rating is on a scale out of 10 is 2...

Slice of spice is no longer the slice of gold it used to be. Once a legend that stood amongst the eateries in and around central Cochin city, it’s no longer close to a decent restaurant.

Food: Al Ashrouf served was no longer resembling anything like the mouth watering, finger licking dish it used to be. But rather just a succulent chicken piece in a lot of uncooked spices.

Service: All new staff with minimal knowledge on what is available and what is not. Brother couldn’t even tell me how long it would take as I was starving and wanted something fast. And most of the guys seemed inexperienced and couple of them were on their phone too. So it would be better if promoters would want to invest in some experienced manpower.

Cleanliness: Gone down the drains! I was served the naan in a dish that had curries from previous order and downright dirty owing to the fact that it had not been cleaned in ages. Water was served in a glass that still had the lipstick stains from the damsel who used it before me.

Overall, I wouldn’t want to visit nor recommend this joint anymore. It’s sad to see a place that was so great once upon a time go...
