THE BEST BEEF AND BANANA FRY It's located around 1.5 km from railway station and 4-5 kilometres from KSRTC bus stand this is the best place to eat in Alleppey. The place is locally known as 'sadikkante chayakada' (Meaning Sadik brother's teashop) is around 40-50 years old and it's a hit among the locals. The place is located in the market area and they start business from early hours. Pathiri (rice flour pancakes) and the beef is one of the best combination here. Must try is the banana fry with the beef curry, also the mutton and parotta. The food is really good and the staffs are polite and warm. The tea here is really good and I ended up having 2 at once. The shop is a small place with basic seating arrangements and wash. You might as well feel you walked in to a shop which is from another time period. The food has no compromise here though, it tastes just right. Cost for two as of Oct 2021 for a nonveg breakfast or dinner is 300-400. I must add, it's such amazing...
