About: Chai Wallah was started by Faisal and his brother Allu, who can be found here often. Faisal hit upon the idea whilst travelling around the world, if I remeber oir conversation mid 2020 correctly.
Where: Chai Wallah is located opposite the Light House and by the Canal, the most idyllic location to sit and sip a tea. During day you can take your tea down to the waterside, and when night falls sit by the shop on the embankment and watch the lighthouse lamp spinning and throwing it's beam out to the far sea.
How: Chanced on Chaiwallah late 2019 when driving by. Has my first Chai here with friends mid 2020 with us spread around the cart like the president's security detail (social distancing)
They had to briefly shut at peak lockdown, but reopended shortly about 10 m east of the original location.
Chai Wallah has branches at -Punnapra -Vandanam -and many more locations, available...

The CHAI WALLAH is one such thing. Its a small cart on wheels which might give you a wrong impression when you see it closed. But once it's open you will be struck by the magnanimity of the shop's interior.Neatly arranged spices and other condiments ready to be added to the stuff they serve you.Walk up and order, and you will be served with one of the best(OR maybe the best) tea or coffee you have had in your entire life. The first sip of their tea or coffee is enough to catapult you to a different level of ecstasy.Truly a tea or coffee connoisseurs haven. The vibe you get when you are there is really awesome.Plenty of music too.Truly an eccentric, eclectic and mesmerising atmosphere around there. The CHAI WALLAH IS NOT ONE TO MISS AT ALL...
Read moreFantastic chai. The use of quality ingredients and made-to-order tea by prepping methods native to home moms, I feel this place deserves the good attention. Would recommend. I wouldn’t mind stopping by this point for a good cup of chai when I pass through Alappuzha.
Only issue is that they look isolated and away from the crowd, but I guess that’s part of the plan. The place is scenic and windy as well. Again, Good spot overall. :)
p.s. I luckily took tea with reduced sugar, and it felt perfect. My bro took their normal tea but complained that his tasted like icecream. It was that sweet. But still tasty. So make sure you request the sugar levels...
