Happy to have received this recommendation. The local prices and the quality make it the best food I have found in Varkala so far. The flavors are authentic, and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is simple yet welcoming, and you can always see locals enjoying their meals, which is a great sign.

If you like Paneer, then I would highly recommend trying the Kadai Paneer. It’s rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. But honestly, everything on the menu is worth trying. So far, I have been here five times, and each time I tried something new.

I can tell you everything is good—Gobi, Masala Dosa, Dal Fry, Dal Tadka, Fried Rice, Chapatti, and Parotta. The variety is amazing, and each dish has its own unique taste. Whether you prefer something spicy or mild, you’ll find plenty of delicious options.

The service is friendly and fast, and the staff always makes sure you have what you need. The food is freshly prepared, and you can taste the difference.

For future travels, just remember—if 90% or more of the customers are locals, you’re in the right place. Don’t hesitate to explore beyond tourist spots; the real gems are usually hidden...

People, do not get impressed after seeing 4+ star rating, which as of now is certainly not worth a visit. It's not even worth 1 star

This eatery though offers table service, but none of the staffs care to attend you ( unless you are a foreigner / tourists from North India ). They just throw the plates on the table and treat us like a 🐕‍🦺 by throwing treats on them. We will be treated as if we are at their mercy.

Coming to the food, i doubt whether the so called wonder chef who prepares the food has some ethics. Vada was spoilt even though it was served hot. When I brought to the owners attention, he did acknowledged it after tasting a bite and checked with the chef, who in turn yelled at the owner as if he didn't committed any sin and we should eat what he prepares. I really felt pity in the owner.

They don't even clean the table and remove the soiled plates until or unless some other customer take the seat 🤢. The cloth that they use to clean the table stinks heavily.

If you want to take care of your health pls...

In the picturesque town of Varkala, amidst its natural beauty and serene ambiance, lies a vegetarian delight: Vinayaka Vegetarian Restaurant. A haven for vegetarians, this establishment serves dishes that are not only sumptuous but also radiate the freshness of ingredients.

Our take away experience here was nothing short of delicious. The Vegetable Biryani stood out with its perfect layering of flavors, spices, and perfectly cooked rice mingling with a medley of fresh vegetables.

In addition, to a wonderful meal was the Avocado Shake. Creamy, refreshing, and brimming with the natural goodness of ripe avocados, it was the perfect accompaniment to the hearty Biryani.

If you find yourself in Varkala and have a penchant for vegetarian deliciousness, do yourself a favor and visit Vinayaka Vegetarian Restaurant. Whether it's the intricate flavors of their Biryani or the simplicity of their Avocado Shake, you're in for a delightful culinary journey. Highly recommended!

We went to this place for Breakfast while visiting Varkala. The rates are very pocket friendly. We had Masala dosa with 1 piece Vada. The Masala dosa was very nice and crisp. The potato masala was mild in spice and paired perfectly with the dosa. The Vada was hot and freshly fried. However , the chai was on the sweeter side. The only downside is the seating. It is very crowded most of the time and the tables are not cleaned properly. The staff is always on a hurry to serve the food which justified according to the crowd turnover. But, a little attention to cleanliness should not be ignored I felt since eating at a clean table makes the meal more satisfactory. Overall Impression - This place is a recommended visit for breakfast while visiting Varkala.

This place definitely deservs 5 stars. Food was fresh and reasonable. Service was incredible. Atmosphere was not high-fi but very clean and decent. Overall great experience. We ordered multiple items here. Favourite from our order was big dosa. So crispy, so tasty. Ghee masala dosa was also good. If you are there for breakfast have their vada it's crispy, light and tasty. Coffee was really good, tea is also good but I personally loved their coffee. Overall good experience.
