Green Pepper Beach Resort — Restaurant in Kerala

We are a family of 6 and stayed in Varkala between 14th and 19th February 2025, and we were fortunate enough to choose the Green Pepper on our first evening.

We visited 8 or so other restaurants during our stay and we rated the Green Pepper as having the best food and best value for money .... so we had to visit for a 2nd time on our last night in Varkala!

Our host and other staff was very attentive and made us welcome on both of our visits.

The location is also very special with wonderful sea views.

If you are looking for a restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere that offers superb food at very affordable prices, then it would be a mistake if you did not visit the Green Pepper restaurant...

I was completely bowled over by hospitality shown by Nisha & Nandu.We want to try local cuisine(sea food),Nandu was so kind & helped us to choose local cuisine, customized our dish as per our taste bud. This was my family trip & had infant with me.To my surprise, Nisha came forward & took care of our infant while we were having food.She is so caring & my kid had great time with her.Restaurant is located at top of cliff, serene beach with a beautiful sunset view was so relaxing & delightful experience.Of course, food was so great & had one of the best seafood, It was so fresh & very tasty. Surely I will be visiting this place next...

We visited the restaurent after the new opening (closed during covid 19 and new team in place) on June 16, 2024 evening. It was a pleasent experience for the family as the location, vibe, food and service. It is a quiet place in South Cliff (beside the Eanikka beach - part of Varkala beach). People who would like sit and enjoy food, vibe and beach can have try at this place. Recommendation for people from outside of India as they love such kind of vibe. They do have place outside sitting, top as well as separate place for small functions. Try it, totally worth it - people choices that matters most and not mine...
