This has been a really terrible experience.

We had planned to celebrate the birthday of our daughter for lunch at this place with her friends.We reached there around noon after calling them up. We were told that they don’t accept reservations ! So were in a bit early.

To start with the vibe we got wasn’t great when we interacted with couple of their staff related to the seating arrangements. Once the tables were arranged after about twenty minutes , we wanted to cut the cake before the crowd sets in. However, it came with pre-conditions. That the order needs to placed before the cake cutting. Then they asked us to place an order which is not less than two thousand at first go. We were just taken aback with these preconditions even before we could settle for the lunch and all this was just during the initial course of going through the menu and placing the first set of orders! When asked to serve the cake,they said they won’t serve the cake initially! Finally , it was served after the main course and all orders were fulfilled !Truly pathetic ! Had it been any other day ,we just would have walked away !! When this attitude and unprofessional approach was reported to the senior staff member at the reception / cash counter, the staff were justifying with some random incidents about their previous experiences with other customers and about managements instructions to them. The staff were either inept or absolute ignorant and not at all polished dealing with customers.

Customer service is a big zero for me !

This experience on a special occasion was what made me write about this . This was my second visit and will be my last to this place. Never again ! Customer service can really mar an experience! This was one such ! For an occasion, from my personal perspective, this place is a strict ‘No-No’ considering the attitude of the staff !! Have been to several places all around and the experience here was one of its kind.!! It’s not the food that bothered us , it’s the way they treat customers!! Have seen some comments in the review section and every time there is a critical review and constructive one,the response from the management team seem to be turning a blind eye and justifying their case and not ready to accept their mistakes which is not a very professional way to deal with customer service! This is an over exaggerated restaurant. This place is surviving because of paid vloggers. We went based on reviews and Vlogs. In the past, May be, this used to be nice place. Good Points - Reasonable parking space, Reasonable Ambience, Clean toilet, Average music system, Average spacing between tables. The Dining Experience: I went with my family for lunch, The menu is a shabby bundle of printouts. While we were ordering, most of the items in the menu paper was not available. After ordering, we wait for 1hr 20 minutes and they delivered the Mojito first, The mojito was served with bitter lemon, and poor mixing. I have ordered 2 starters, of which one never came and Bolognese Fries came. Its very clear that the Chef had no idea what he is cooking and the temperature control required, the fries were like chewing rubber band, kids left it after first bite. The potatoes were rotten and Bolognese Fries was carelessly prepared without removing the damaged area. That was unprofessional. Finally the chicken burger, served after 30 minutes or more, it was served with raw patties, not cooked well and we had to leave it. The blood taste in the meat was raw. Taste wise if you are very familiar with continental food taste, you won’t love it, this is based on our orders served. They just add melted cheese to everything and call it a foreign preparation. Just they can fool around any way they want, couldn't find any flavor of continental spices. One thing forgot to mention. This place has lot of houseflies, you will enjoy waving flies while waiting and dining.

Not very professional staff- Because they initially charged me with item not even served. The manager, claims he is new, is very unprofessional and never bothered about we wait for more than 1.5 hours.

There are much better places in Kerala, where they serve Continental and Mediterranean food with authentic spices. Some of them even import Ingredients.

Not recommended unless you want to sit and wait for 2-3 hours. Overall not...

My friends and I decided to try out Steam and Mugs for a casual lunch, and what should have been a pleasant, memorable lunch turned into a rather frustrating and disappointing experience. Despite having a reservation, it seemed as if they were not prepared for our arrival. There were hardly half the occupants compared to the seating capacity they are claiming. The person who came to attend us appeared frustrated and distracted as if we have asked food for free. What ever dishes we picked from the menu he kept on saying that it will take time, becuase of this reaction we cancelled one or two dishes we wanted to try and was forced to compromise with some less appealing options. Though these were done due to the time constraints we have got our orders after a long 1 hour of wait. On the top that the customers were waiting for the food from eternity. Neither were served on time. It was clear that the café was understaffed and ill-equipped to handle the lunchtime crowd. Frankly speaking i have been to many restaurants in town and this is the first time iam facing such a disheartening episode. Adding to the frustration, our attempts to flag down a server to address our concerns were met with fleeting glances and empty promises. And above all, all the dishes were very poorly presentedand overpriced. To qoute an example, the dish Herbed Chicken which we had orderd we were shocked to see the presentation, the chicken strips were randomly put in the plate with some raw vegetables(though they had mentioned sauted veggies) ans paprika just speinkled all over, some hummus with a will of olive oil i the middle. Among all the dishes which we have tried neither of them is worth the wait and the money we paid. I will never go back to this place will never ever recommend this to any one.
