The Muffin House — Restaurant in Kerala

If I can give zero star, i prefer that. The worst experience ever and spoiled my son's birthday. We ordered a cake on 28/11/2022 with spiderman design SI No 27 and paid full amount ( 700 rs for cake and 600 rs for design charge) as advance and they assured that I will get the cake on 29/11/2022 by 6.30pm. After getting their confirmation i reserved a table at 7.30pm for our family and friends at near by restaurant ( Paragon). We reached there on time and first I was shocked that the staff gave me a normal butterscotch cake without any design. Then they said it was their mistake when I showed them design in the receipt. Waiting after 15 to 20 minutes, another staff brought a cake with spider man design and I noticed that it was not the design which I chose. But I didn't say any words because my 5 year old son is not going to know the difference. After packing the cake, again I was waiting there for another 10 minutes they were not willing to handover the cake. I asked them what is the problem now. They again said sorry that it was their mistake that it was a wrong cake and will bring my design. I waited there for another 30 minutes. I am quite sure that they started their design work after this. Because when they bring the cake after 30 minutes it was not with perfection and seems like they made it in a hurry. Anyway I left the place by 7.45 pm and through all the traffic when I reached the restaurant by 8.15 pm, we didn't get the table which I reserved, because the restaurant already informed me that they don't take reservations, if you are not coming on time they supposed to take another customer. Again we waited there for 30 to 40 minutes finally we got the table at 9pm. Birthday boy was sleepy and he slept deeply before the food arrived and everyone was blaming me for what happened.

In the mean time in Muffin house from 6.30pm to 7.45 pm the staffs were calling and searching Joby chettan / Joshy chettan when ever I was asking for the cake. So this chettan might be somewhere running with my cake, i think so. Also if it was a busy time, we can tell the staffs might be busy, but it was not like that. Hardly 10 customers came during this period ( 1 hr 15 min) and I think 6 staffs were there to deal the customers.

Regarding the taste of the cake, were 15 peoples and we only ordered 1 kg cake. Only quarter portion was eaten by us because the cake was dry and syrup taste was too intense.

They said they cannot write the wishes on the cake because it will spoil the "design" ( i want to cry or hit his face when they said as it was already spoiled by their design). So they said, they will write the wishes in a chocolate board seperately in seperate box. After reaching the restaurant when I opened the box it was like white cream pasted over dark chocolate, all letters were scattered.

Finally I must say a big thanks to Joshy/ Joby chettan and team Muffin house, for spoiling a good day for me. I will never recommend this place to anyone and later I came to know from my friends that this is not an...

We recently purchased a birthday cake from Muffin House pattom shop, and we are very delighted that the taste of the cake was superb and exceeded our expectation.

In fact we were in search of a particular type of cake over various major cake shops at trivandrum, but couldn't find a match.

Finally Muffin House Pattom shop took our order and delivered the product in the exact same way we wished for. The buttercream frosting was amazing, the base cake which was vanilla sponge was this really moist and softy, which would melt in your mouth. They did some cute designs on the cake too, as per our instructions.

To our surprise, the cost of the cake was not even high, when compared to the ingredients that were used in the cake.

The staff engaged with the order were really polite and provided us options too in between their busy schedule.

We have decided to switch our existing cake buying shop to Muffin House Pattom shop due to the quality and taste of the product we received and due to the better customer service. Cakes available there are not overpriced when compared to other major cake shops in Trivandrum. Hats off to the chef behind the making of this cake and to the staff behind the friendly and polite service. 🥰🥰🥰

AWFUL. 😤 We ordered from this place on swiggy. As soon as we completed ordering and paying, we received a call from swiggy saying that an item we ordered is unavailable and asked us to substitute it. We said that we want a refund, and ok, the refund from swiggy arrived. But again after 15-20min, we received a call frm this restaurant saying that another item that we ordered is also not available and asked us what substitute we want. We again said we want refund- WE DIDN'T WANT ANY SUBSTITUTE. BUT THEY blatantly went against our wishes and put an item we didn't want as a substitute (and this item was of lower cost than what we originally ordered ) AND WE DIDN'T GET THE REFUND OF THE REMAINING MONEY. NOT TO MENTION, WE DIDN'T WANT THE ITEM THEY SUBSTITUTED against our wishes. We wanted the refund, which we didn't get 😠😠 moreover the delivery partners have told that they make them wait unnecessarily, when almost all the items in our order are packaged and ready items at store. They completely disregard the delivery partners, and this is the SECOND time our delivery partner has said about this disregard. SECOND TIME.
