A Hidden Gem with Incredible Food and Service!
I recently visited Cafe Boba Queen, and I must say, the experience truly surpassed my expectations. From the food to the service, everything was top-notch and absolutely worth praising.
We ordered Hot Paprika Fries, Paneer Sizzler, Peri Peri Chicken Steak, and the Fillet Chicken Burger. Every single dish was delicious, full of flavor and the portion sizes were generous.
The Paneer Sizzler was the absolute star of the evening. I honestly had low expectations, but it turned out to be exceptional. The noodles that came along were perfectly seasoned, and the paneer itself was incredibly soft with a rich, flavorful marinade. It was a satisfying and delightful dish from the first bite to the last.
The Peri Peri Chicken Steak was equally amazing. The peri peri sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and the mashed potatoes on the side were rich, creamy, and complemented the steak perfectly.
The Fillet Chicken Burger was juicy and tasty, and the Hot Paprika Fries was well-seasoned, and addictive.
For drinks, we tried the Classic Nutella Boba, Fizzy Mint Green Apple Boba, and the Lemon Boba. Each one had a unique and refreshing taste. The Nutella Boba was rich, smooth, and indulgent, while the green apple was perfect for a fizzy, fruity refreshment. All three drinks were delightful and well-crafted.
What made the experience even better was the excellent service. The staff were very polite, engaging, and genuinely helpful. They took time to explain the menu clearly, suggested great food options when asked, and ensured everything we ordered was just right.
The portion sizes were generous, the flavors were spot-on, and the service was warm and attentive. Total bill was around ₹2,300, which felt completely worth it for the quality and quantity of food we had.
Overall, Cafe Boba Queen delivered a fantastic dining experience – flavorful food, fun and refreshing drinks, great portion sizes, and impeccable service. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and...
Read moreVisited on a breezy evening and ordered the below items:
Coconut curry Ramen with chicken dumplings CBQ Mad Angles – starters Schezwan Hakka Veg Noodles Paneer Crispon Burger Mango sticky rice
The place was quite full after we came in and hence the mains took some time to come after placing the order.
However the starter was served quickly.
CBQ mad angles are basically Bingo mad angles which are given a small coating and deep fried in oil. Reminded me of deep frying pieces of brown khuboos while I was staying in Dubai. The perfect crunchy starter.
The highlight of the dinner was the Ramen and the Mango sticky rice.
Unarguably, one of the top 3 Ramen dishes available in Trivandrum currently. Daughter is a big fan of Ramen and having tasted quite a few so far, this one was her top favorite.
The Ramen is fully customisable to one’s personal preference with regards to protein and accompaniments.
The next star of the dinner course was the popular Mango sticky rice. True and honestly authentic to the mango sticky rice one has while in Thailand. This is one dish I will definitely go back for a second or even a third time.
The paneer crispon burger had a deep fried panner patty topped off with 2 onion rings and the usual accompaniments. Filling and tasty.
A few things to note:
Ramen takes sometime to prepare. In the ballpark of atleast 30-40mins. So its advisable to order in advance. Mango sticky rice is also made in a limited quantity and this can also be pre ordered...
Read moreNestled in a prominent location at Pattom-Pottakuzhi Road, the cafe draws attention with its heritage-inspired exterior. The cafe promises a unique blend of traditional and trendy and while it delivers on some fronts, there's still room for improvement. Upon entering the ambience didn't quite match the charm of its location. Despite the heritage theme, the interior felt underwhelming and lacked the cozy atmosphere one might expect. I was seated in the verandah area, which started to fill with mozzies. The menu boasts an impressive selection of food and drinks, catering for a variety of tastes. Unfortunately, most of the items on the menu were not available, which was not a great start for me (Reply to the owner: I visited on 29th June 2025 - I had requested Mozzarella sticks and a sizzling brownie with ice cream, but your staff informed me that the menu provided was outdated and the revised version has not yet been released. So I had to go with what your staff suggested). I tried the loaded fried with chicken, cloudy lemon with pops and a red velvet cake shake with boba. The flavours were satisfying, and the portion sizes were generous, and perfectly shareable for two. The red velvet cake shake was thick and smooth, however, the boba was soggy. The signature chewiness of boba was not present and some of them were not holding shape. I think there is a larger room for this café to improve and to attract more locals who are interested in trying...
