BEWARE - NEITHER KERALA FOOD NOR HALAL , WITH PATHETIC SERVICE AND VERY BAD COSTLY FOOD This hotel is located very close to the northern lake side(entry gate) where there was local market, taxi stand and point where the upper lake road stands.. Tired from a long drive to kodaikanal we decided to be at our homestay, which was hardly about a km from the hotel and order for delivery... being from kerala, malayalam fonts in front of hotel caught our eye.. Hence started our day of doom. The hotel person kept us on hold for about some minutes when some thing we asked was not available and we had to decide an alternative, we quickly ordered some grilled chicken nd a rice , tired , not wanting to argue and not wanting to go through all process once again at another place. Mostly this was the nearest hotel to our stay. What happened next made us our whole first day a disaster...They took about 1.5 hours for this delivery and demanded 50 rs( which changed to rs 60 at point of delivery) as delivery charge , and the food quality was pathetic..the grilled was burned outside, raw inside...other dishes also were hardly eatable. The arrogance and way in which they run the place gets the feel they are local goons. We urge you to stay away from this place masquerading as a nice hotel. All they care about is just money.. its a shame we ended up there when a close by rooftop restaurant provided awesome food at...

The Worst Dining Experience I've Ever Had This was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience I've encountered. Upon entering, we were handed plates by a waiter who then disappeared, leaving us waiting for over five minutes with no one to take our order. Despite the restaurant being empty, three waiters were completely engrossed in their phones, ignoring us entirely. We had to call the manager, who was sitting at the cash counter, just to get someone to pay attention to us. The situation only got worse from there. When the manager told a waiter to take our order, the waiter refused, saying the person who set the plates would do it. When asked where that person was, they replied he was "upstairs." Just then, the first waiter returned and also refused to take our order, claiming he only handles plates. It became a ridiculous back-and-forth between the staff, with no one willing to do their job. We finally told them to sort out who was going to take our order because we were leaving. The sheer lack of professionalism and basic customer service was appalling. We left immediately and found a much better place to eat. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this restaurant...

Poor Service & Experience

I recently visited this restaurant and found the overall experience to be below expectations. The environment was quite busy, and the service staff, who primarily spoke Hindi, don't know they understood you correctly! appeared disinterested in attending to customers. We requested that our table be cleaned, but the response was delayed, and the staff seemed preoccupied with personal devices rather than customer service.

When we ordered food, it was served, but upon requesting mayonnaise, we were informed it someone went to purchased and were asked to wait. It arrived later, but the delay was inconvenient. The food quality was average, and while the pricing was reasonable, the overall experience was not ideal—especially for couples or families seeking a pleasant dining atmosphere.

In local terms, this felt more like a "Muniyandi Vilas" setup, where service is minimal. I strongly encourage the management to review the current service standards and take steps to improve both the quality of food and customer engagement to ensure a more welcoming and satisfactory experience...
