Apanjan Kalighat (Naktala Outlet) — Restaurant in Kolkata

This is the Branch of Kalighat Outlet, newly opned in Naktala, Near Udayan Sangha Club, now they are not offerimg inside dining due to covid, only you can order online or you have to go to the counter directly and you can buy.

There is hygiene issue according to the appearance of the staffs are working the way they are handling the raw products and it's not so clean if you see the shop or the floors and their kitchen, they need more improvement in cleaning part.

They are maintaining the same standard of their food and taste, I will recommend not to buy any sizzler or food comes under chinese category, only the fries and the fish items are highly recommended. Their fish fry, fish finger, fish chips, fish chops, fish pakora and chicken items are also.

Now, the prices are not too costly or low, moderate, though for example : I feel they are charging ₹120/- for one plate of fish chips contain 4 pcs (bhetki), ₹100/- was a standard price for it whereas ₹20/- feels like extra more.

The another problem is due to the rush of online order, you need to wait for long for your order to get deliver.

Overall for evening time snacks you can order from here, I will rate it average experience.

They claim it's the same as Kalighat branch but alas it isn't. I always loved the fish fry, fish finger and fish kochuri at Kalighat so we ordered the same here. The fish fry and fingers are overly breaded making it hard as a brick. Also they over fried them.The kochuri hardly had any filling and the alu dom was stale and overly cooked with masalas. When I informed the owner that the fish fry and fingers had too much of biscuit/bread crumbs and it’s very hard, he said " Oh, tai naki" Please avoid this store and if you really like the brand, visit the one in Kalighat. Only good part: the little boy who was our server was so sweet...

Great taste,quick service,little expensive ,keeping in mind the brand name and hype, the same taste you can find in the fish fry just a few shop along the road, with half the price, otherwise ok, but i didnt find any point in keeping the whole egg in dimer devile, making it a pricey item, they could just have half the egg,with more portion of keema, they need to learn it from bijoli grill and other famous joints, otherwise not much difference with the original...
