My favourite South Indian food destination in the city, have visited the place and had my meals takeaway for more than a hundred times now, The taste is authentic, and I rate it one of the best South Indian restaurants in the whole city, Price is reasonable and low. The restaurant may be a little underrated as it's not located at a upmarket esplanade or salt Lake area, but the dishes are one of the best, you'll find anywhere in entire kolkata The quality of the dosas , vadas, idlis, and uttapams are better than many fine dining restaurants I have been in Chennai and Bangalore even, They have added new items like paneer and fried rice, which is not something special, But the huge variety of South Indian dishes are simply too tasty. We tried butter cheese paper dosa, rawa mashala dosa, Onion capcicum uttapam and special dahi wada. All of them very good and heavy for tummy. The catch of the evening was special dahi wada. It was so full of dry fruits. Price is very affordable. Request to the owners, please teach the service persons to be a bit more professional. What should they speak and importantly what not. Normal south Indian dishes like dosa , idly , vada etc are crisp , flavourful and overall delectable. They also offer chinese and north Indian options , which IMHO one should clearly avoid. They expertise in Udupi cuisine but the Chinese and Punjabi dishes are outright unsavoury with overwhelming doses of salt and general lack of flavour. Oh and they don't serve filter coffee which is very disappointing . Not much options in fresh juices or desserts as well. The staff is friendly . Overall an economical resturant at a peaceful location that provides scrumptious food as long one sticks only to...
