Café Coffee Day - Santoshpur — Restaurant in Kolkata

I recently visited Cafe Coffee Day and ordered their "Devils Own" coffee. While the coffee itself was enjoyable – a good, solid brew – it didn't quite reach that "extraordinary" level that would make it truly memorable. It was a satisfying cup, but nothing particularly stood out. On the other hand, the staff were a definite highlight of my visit. They were incredibly efficient, processing orders quickly and accurately. What impressed me even more was their excellent behavior. Every interaction was polite, friendly, and professional. They seemed genuinely attentive to customers, which is always appreciated. Unfortunately, the ambience of this particular CCD was quite disappointing. The overall atmosphere felt a bit lackluster and uninspiring. The decor seemed tired, and the seating wasn't particularly comfortable or inviting. It lacked the cozy or vibrant vibe that often makes a coffee shop a pleasant place to linger. In summary: Coffee (Devils Own): Good, but not exceptional. A decent cup if you're looking for a reliable coffee fix. Staff: Absolutely fantastic! Efficient, well-behaved, and provided excellent service. Ambience: Disappointing. The atmosphere was uninspiring and could definitely use improvement. Overall, my experience was a mixed bag. I'd consider returning for the efficient service and a decent cup of coffee if I were in a hurry, but the uninviting ambience would likely deter me from choosing it as a place to relax or spend extended time.

We had Not So Good experience here. We ordered Cappuccino and Cafe Mocha. When we wanted to order Cappuccino of small size, it was denied (though clearly mentioned on menu) and pushed for regular size. This is still okay. We also took 1 packet of Nachos. Everything was billed and we left CCD, Santoshpur. After 15 minutes, I just checked the bill and found that 2 pkts of nachos were billed when we took only one. We went back to rectify the mistake from CCD because we believe human error may happen. But surprisingly the waitress swiftly tried to put the onus on us as if she knew we took 2 pkts of nachos. Eventually she gave us 1 more pkt of nachos since it was already billed. It was very unprofessional of the waitress. I beg the attention of this CCD franchise owner to train the staffs properly to maintain...

I've been on a quest to find the best cafe in Kolkata to work from and so far, no other place comes even close to this one. There is hardly ever anyone coming here during the early hours, which makes it an absolute joy to work from, almost like a personal office. The table arrangements,‌ the atmosphere is great! The staff are pretty good too!

Food is probably not their strongest suit, and it feels a bit overpriced. I like their coffee. But overall, I'd say come here for a focused session of work, or for a hangout with friends, but not for the food.

For me, I'll keep using this as my workstation while continuing my quest to find more...
