Cafe MQXT — Restaurant in Kolkata

I would like to clarify that this review does not pertain to the food at Mqxt.

As an avid cafe enthusiast who frequently explores various coffee shops, I have had the pleasure of visiting many establishments near Mqxt. Whenever I passed by, I couldn't help but notice Mqxt's eye-catching color scheme and unique name, which immediately piqued my curiosity. After watching several food vloggers' videos showcasing Mqxt, I finally made up my mind to visit. Needless to say, I was excited about the prospect.

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I arrived at Mqxt around 11:40, only to find that it had not yet opened for business. Consulting Google maps, we discovered that its official opening time was listed as 12:00. We decided to make the most of the situation and spent some time exploring the surrounding area, eagerly awaiting Mqxt's opening.

Around 12:10, we returned to Mqxt and were delighted to see that it had indeed opened its doors. With anticipation in our hearts, we approached the entrance, eager to experience the cafe. However, to our surprise, the staff requested that we wait for an additional 15 minutes. Despite the initial disappointment, we believed that after having already waited for some time, an extra 15 minutes wouldn't pose much of an inconvenience. We patiently bided our time, eagerly anticipating the chance to enter.

Unfortunately, when the 15 minutes had passed, we made our way back to the entrance, only to be met with the same request to wait once more. This unexpected delay frustrated us, but we remained hopeful and decided to give it another try. However, at 12:45, we encountered the same situation again. At that point, we felt it was best to abandon our original plan. We quickly searched for nearby cafes as an alternative and left the vicinity.

Overall, I must say that my experience at Mqxt did not live up to my expectations. The repeated delays and uncertainty regarding entry left me and my friends feeling disappointed and ultimately led us to seek...

Cosy cafe offering delectable Burger, fries and plenty of prawn options!

I came to know about this cafe from Lake Mall Food Court. Had great experience in the mall. Then I decided to visit their Cafe itself.

Burger: Hands down, this is the best burger in Kolkata. Mc Donald's and Burger King needs to learn how to make proper burgers from MQXT! I didn't bring KFC into context as they don't put patty inside burger. I also reserve my judgement for 'Boomer's Chicken' outlet (Kestopur)

They serve veg & non-veg burger. The chicken patty were seasoned so well.

Fries: quirky shape and tastes absolutely delicious. It was fluffy and soft with the right amount of salt.

Cappuccino: It had pretty strong coffee aroma. Fared much better than other age old cafe!!

Pricing is supremely affordable considering south kolkata! Non-veg Combo costs 164!

Also, Service is top notch!!

2nd visit:

Expectations were high from the previous experience.

Ordered combo consisting of a chicken burger, 4 piece chicken steam momo, 2 nuggets, Cold drink & Milky mist choco wafer. Frappe 3. French fries.

Overall, I found the offering to be ordinary. The burgers didn't taste as good as it's used to be. The patties taste needs to improved. Then, the burger needs to be at par with Mc D. They said it's home made, but it shouldn't be the reason for ordinary taste. Biggest bummer has to be the momo! It wasn't steamed as it should be.

Their French fries used to be brilliant, but yesterday it was pretty bland. Then the frappe though tastes quite okay but I'm upset with the price of it. Frappe needs to be topped with whipped cream or ice cream. None were present. Anyway, hope for...

For vegetarians, the options are somewhat limited, which may not be ideal for those solely seeking vegetarian choices. However, the non-vegetarian options seem to be more extensive and satisfying based on feedback from friends who tried them. During my visit, I tried the Jalapeno cheese balls and french fries. While the french fries were enjoyable and met expectations, I wasn't particularly fond of the cheese balls. On a positive note, the Virgin Mojito was refreshing and tasted great. My friend opted for a non-vegetarian chicken meal and had no complaints about the quality or taste.
