What do you expect when you walk in to a pub/bar/restaurant? To have fun, be entertained, good food and beverages. But would you want these at the cost of your own safety? Ask yourself this question before you enter Xrong Place. Three of us visited this sports bar in April and the night ended with my friends being beaten up by the hired goons and patrons of the bar on the street infront of Xrong Place. Did WE do something wrong? Yes, we showed concern for a girl who was alone, drunk and passed out when we saw that the staff dragged her to the ground floor seating area and dropped her on the floor. When we started asking questions, demanded that her family should be contacted and refused to leave her alone there with the staff - we were threatened, screamed at and then my two friends beaten up outside the pub with the residents of the lane watching from the balcony. This happened at 11 P.M. at night in the heart of South Kolkata. We spent the rest of the night lodging a complaint against the pub management. We didn't pursue it further as we got a good indication of how powerful the management and owner of this pub is given the fact that the police didn't even question the staff after we filed a complaint of brutal assault.

We only go by Zomato ratings when we choose a place but do we really think how safe that place is? Maybe this should also be a parameter based on which we select our next hangout spot with family and friends. Until we have such a mechanism in place, let's spread the word and hope that others are taking lessons from your experience and not facing the same...

Thanks to the Covid-19 I wasn't been able to have a movie outing with my homies for the last 2 years. So my urge to go for a movie outing was growing. Then I thought that if I had to quench my thirst, it should be with Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

So I planned a outing with an age old friend of mine & my homie for the letest #mcu movie at @southcity_mall .

At the end of the movie I was asking myself the question, ~"Am I Happy?" ~"no you are certainly not. You are Hungry AF."

Then I remember a quote, "With great hunger, comes great responsibility to search for a great resturant".

I chose this place based on some google searches & some online reviews. So quickly we called for an #ola & reached the place. First thing first, the ambience was spot on & the food was terrific.

We ordered some cocktails, shorts and some starters to accompany the drinks.

The green Chilli Chicken was so damn good. I might revisit the place only for that actually. The perfect companion of drinks.

The the Italian Stallion thin Crust Pizza, Grilled Chicken Steak with House salad, Amritsari Fish & Chips was ordered with some more booze.

The Bottom line being it is a visit worthy place. And I am gonna pay second visit...
