From those days when I was jobless and broke to now, when I am placed but broke, Denzong Kitchen has been the 1st name that crosses my mind whenever I want to relish some Chinese and Tibetan Delicacies without burning a hole in my pocket! π
A quick summary as to why this place tops my list everytime!
1)Chicken Steamed Momo (Priced at Rs. 90) β Started off with 6 pieces of fleshy & juicy momos loaded with minced chicken. π
2)Egg Chicken Hong Kong Rice (Priced at Rs. 190) - It is a Chinese stir fry recipe with egg, vegetables and Rice. Denzongβs version comes with generous amount of meat and eggs. π
3)Garlic Baby Corn (Priced at Rs. 180) β Diced baby corn tossed in sauces with minced garlic. The Garlicky aroma enhances the taste. π½
4)Egg Chicken Garlic Hakka Noodles (Priced at Rs. 160) β No wonder I have an affinity towards garlic hence again a Garlic flavoured noodles with plenty of eggs and chicken pieces. π

Β Β Β Read moreVisited this place on a Thursday evening. You may think it is a takeaway joint, but it does have enough space to accommodate 20-24 people in the separate seating area.
When we reached the restaurant, it was already full. So, we had to wait for 10-15 minutes to get our table.
We ordered the following items at Denzong Kitchen (Bijoygarh):
Chicken steamed momos Garlic hakka noodles (chicken) Chicken in oyster sauce
We wanted to order Denzong special noodles, but that item was not available then.
The steamed momos were juicy as usual. The size of each momo was smaller than usual, but they tasted amazing. They served it with a small portion of clear soup.
The garlic hakka noodle was also good. It had enough chunks of chicken and the amount was enough for two people.
The taste of the chicken in oyster sauce was good, but the chicken was a bit chewy. It was my least favorite item on that visit.
I also notice another unusual thing there. They didn't give any of the customer plates. They served it in disposable containers that they usually use for home deliveries and takeaways. They did gave us a bottle of water, but there was no glass. I guess, it's for the COVID.
In short, the experience was nice. You should definitely try the chicken...
Β Β Β Read moreI am proudly giving it 5 stars because Denzong is worthy of it. I went there months ago yet I feel the taste lingers in my mouth.
One major point of being popular is that it is students' fav. It is famous among the school and college goes.
Yes, the sitting place inside is a little small so during peak hours (i.e., around 4-6 pm), one has to wait outside in order to grab a seat. But then, if you savour some heavenly dishes the wait is worth it.
Everything here is good, literally. I am used to having all the common chinese dishes so preferred rather to try out some new dishes.
Started with a dish named "Chicken Tie Pao" (don't count on the spelling mistake). It was a completely new experience to explore the item. It was a oval shaped bun with minced chicken and vegetables along with boiled egg stuffed inside. Well I was simply speechless to explain anything. Next I tried Chicken Thukpa. A long awaited dish tried. And I simply fell in love with it. Next I had Chicken Phalley (don't count on the spelling mistake). A unique item with chicken filling inside. Liked this as well. And ended with Chicken Steam Momo and Chicken Fried Momo.
Everything was blissful. Visit to explore more....
