Sri Sri Kaiblya Dham, better known as Ram Thakurer Ashram, is the ashram of spiritual guru Sri Ram Chandra Debsharma, better known as Ram Thakur. It is situated on the road connecting Jadavpur (8B) and Pallisree More. The road is named after him, Ram Thakur Sarani. The disciples worship Ram Thakur as Sri Satya Narayan or Kaibalyanath, hence Kaibalyadham. It’s a must-visit place for the disciples and followers of Sri Ram Thakur. The ashram is located in a vast compound, consisting of the temple of Sri Ram Thakur and a big multi-story building. A huge open area with some trees adds beauty to the ashram. All the day-to-day activities take place on the ground floor of the building. Daily puja is performed in the temple twice daily, day and evening. Naam Sankirtan and puja are performed on the Naat Mandir in the temple in the evening. On the ground floor of the building, there is an office and a sales counter where photos of Sri Ram Thakur in different sizes and publications from the ashram are sold. A space is provided for performing the last rites (sardh ceremony). One may perform the Sardh of a deceased person here with pre-booking. All the arrangements are done by the ashram authority on payment of a reasonable fixed amount. A big community dining hall is also there. One may enjoy sublime Prasad, which is a full-course lunch, here on payment of a nominal amount. The Prasad coupon is to be collected from the designated counter between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. A charitable dispensary is run by the ashram. The day and time of the availability of the doctors may be obtained from the chart provided in the notice board area. A library is also there, which opens four days a week. The Ashram was founded on the 13th day of the Bengali calendar month of Falgun. An annual festival is held on that day every year. It is a big event.
