Mini Hut — Restaurant in Kolkata

Food from Mini Hut has been my comfort food growing up. Since the day they opened my family has been their consistent customers. There was a time in 2017, I would get my monthly earnings and order food from them for me and my parents.

Coming to their food, they provide the best Chinese cuisine in that price range. They have not compromised in their quality and portion size through the years. Their chef's special fried rice, which was my father's favourite dish, has a lot of ingredients which makes it lip-smacking!

The name Mini Hut is a misnomer. Nothing mini about the quantity, quality or service. It is all maximum. The menu is awe inspiring starting from the soups to main course and side dishes. I will not single out any for I'm in the tasting stage of so many. Chicken, prawn and their subtle to massive variations can get into content of a tome on Chinese cusine. The sitting area is in the 1st storey and the kitchen is on the entrance. The height of the ceiling is too low. The menu is simple printed and laminated with prices on the above side. We ordered chicken steam momo and Chicken chilli, minus capsicum. There was only 1 person to serve, he would take our order and vanish. If we had to order something, would have to wait till he comes along with our food ordered before. There was no washroom as well. We intended to stay for longer,...
