The store has a really good collection — I was having a great shopping experience until the billing part completely changed the impression.

There was a sign about a discount card, so I enquired about it. The staff said the offer was discontinued and only valid for purchases above ₹25,000. I went ahead and completed my ₹13,000 purchase. But just after I entered my PIN at the POS machine, they suddenly mentioned that the discount card was actually applicable and that from “next time” even a ₹1,000 purchase would qualify.

When I cross-questioned the staff, he just said, “Usually it's for 25k plus shopping but we will give discount on 1k shopping also , but next time” That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. While shopping I have seen other customer get discount at counter with the card but we were told additional rules.It honestly seemed like the rules were being changed on the spot, which left a bad impression.

Overall, great clothes — transparency, and handling of offers and the statements of the staff does not encourage a second visit . What started as a good experience ended on a disappointing note.

God knows what happened to the New Punjabi Stores. Previously I purchased Kurta and Dhoti from this store and have a loyaty card. Within a month I took my father for buying his panjabi. We were with my 6 years old kid, my wife and my father who is 70 above. They had no sitting arrangements today. Upon seeing the kid they removed the only chair that was left. What a audacity, misbehaviour and unkindness to do this? The staffs sitting there on the chairs sternly refused to provide any seat to the kid upon asking for a chair. Even a stranger offers a chair to old and kids. But New Punjabi Store does not. What a rude and unjust culture the staffs of this shop have? I immediately left the store and got my stuff from a nearby shop. There is nothing special or discounted in your shop. All the items are available in all the other stores around you. This is what happens when a store makes too much profit. They think what the hell if I loose one customer. Nothing will happen to me. I am invincible. I am situated in Gariahat. One of the worst shop, very rude behavior, they don't have the manners to talk to a customer. I went to buy a short kurta for myself, and clicked some pics to sent it to my mother, the person who was showing me the kurtas asked me if I was going to buy or else delete the pics which I have clicked and sent, how rude....????? And even when I asked him is the price fixed, he said, "aktu kom beshi hoye jabe" but when after selecting which I was going to buy he directly sent it to the bill counter, when I asked him to lower some price, he said, "dont you know it's a big store, how can you ask such questions?"
