Their making process of every cuttlet and all is unhygienic too, go bwn 10am-12pm to the shop, u will see by yourself how unhygienic and filthy way of making the batter n all. House Flies 🪰sit over the batter while they make it. Mouse 🐁 also room in their shop.

The stuffing of the special mughlai was very ordinary, mostly onions and eggs. It was accompanied by "Alu kosha" which was cold and was kept uncovered. Even after complaining they did not bother to keep it covered. When I complained about the low quality the person on the counter, probably the owner started some lecture about his shop.....we are the first one to serve mughlai in Kolkata....our shop is more than sixty years old ...blah blah... Only legacy will not help the shop to survive, they need to improve...
Read moreI am a sucker for Bengali fried food. I was in a rush so just had a grab 'n go bite of the Fish Chop (a ball of spiced, fish mince, breaded and deep fried), which was good to my taste. A little on the sweet side, mostly from the mashed onions in the mix. Typical Bengali savoury, at its best. Don't expect high standards of hygiene from these places, the sight of the decades old, open plan kitchen may make you cringe. I do believe the ingredients are all fresh and they sell out quickly so you will run out of luck by 8 pm. My snap should tell you about the kitchen...
