WE WENT THERE IN 8.15 PM . WE SIT BUT NOBODY CAME TO TAKE OUR ORDER . IN 8.26 PM WAITER CAME & TAKE OUR ORDER , BUT THE STAFFS WERE VERY FRIENDLY . FIRSTY WE HAVE TO MENTION IT HAS LESS SITTING SPACE , THE SOUP CAME IN 20 MINS AFTER ORDER , 15 MINS LATER THE STARTERS CAME . THE SOUP & STARTERS ARE DEFINETLY GOOD , SOUP IS VERY VERY GOOD , YOU SHOULD DEFINETLY TRY SWEET CORN SOUP , CHICKEN DRUMS OF HEAVEN & FISH ITEMS . BUT AFTER 15 MINS LATER , THE MAIN COURSE CAME IN , AND IT WAS REALLY BAD , QUANTITY IS GOOD BUT TASTE IS BELOW AVERAGE . CHICKEN IN THE BLACK BEAN SAUCE IS THE WORST . PRAWN IS OKAYISH . PANEER IS GOOD . SIMPLY I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND , BECAUSE FOR 6 PEOPLE OUR BILL IS 3296 RS. WE SPENT 549.33 RUPEES ON PER PERSON . AMBIENCE IS OKAYISH . BATHROOM IS GOOD . THE STAFFS ARE VERY GOOD , THEY DESERVES 5 STARS FOR HARDWORKING . BUT IN FOOD , WE SHOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND STARTERS BUT . THE WAITING TIME AND THE ORDER TIME AND FOOD TIME IS TOO MUCH . YES THERE PACKAGING IS ALSO GOOD , THEY ALSO DESERVES A STAR THERE , BUT THE EXPERIENCE IS 2.5 ON 5 IN DINE IN . ALSO THIS PLACE IS VERY PRICEY . The place is good, food average. The soup and the starters were better than the main course. The Pad Thai Noodles was way sweeter than usual. Kimchi was with fresh cabbage lacking the fermented flavour. Singapore Rice Noodles was ok. Prawn dish suggested was not liked by me. I possibly feel that the gentleman responsible for suggesting and serving us was well versed with the regular menus and could not suggest us any thing. He agreed to what we ordered. He needs more training on the products. Further, the ambience is of an open restaurant and not a fine dining one. However, I will always suggest to go there and try the other dishes. It might be that we have ordered things which are not ordered regularly. Also, Shanghai is quite a name in Kolkata now and these reviews are based on personal taste and preferences. Try the traditional ones....

This Shanghai Restaurant is in the prime location of Hatibagan. I believe this is a new outlet. The restaurant does give very calm Chinese vibes, playing their traditional tunes at the background.

The staff are very professional and well spoken.

The menu is exclusive. They present the food in a very palatable and attractive manner. They have great options for appetizers and main courses.

The dimsums were simply amazing. Tried pad thai noodles for the first time and found it very delicious. Tso's chicken was full of flavours. The quantity is good enough for two people.

They also have juices and mocktails to offer.
