Today on 5th October 2023. Myself and my wife tried to have my lunch, I would request all of you to consider read my review before going there. First thing is you have to park your car in a narrow lane, where PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED by authority moreover is is one way lane. Then you have to search for the restaurant as there is no sinage in that location. Incase you identify the that village lane ... then you have to walk down in a slope approximately 500 miters or more remember you will huff and puff when you will climb back to your car with full stomach.
Today I want there at 2.35 pm to find out if there open or not. I saw the place is empty and One CHEF IN BLACK uniform sitting in the Sun and checking his mobile and other two staffs are enjoying Sun. I asked the chef is it open as if open i will go to my car and call my wife, he said ok you can do it. I as about parking one of the staff members told me parking in the road may be risky so I can park in main market parking and come back. I went up to the road requested one young shop keeper to allow me parking infront of his shop. He allowed but said try to come ASAP as parking is not allowed.
We went down to restaurant I found it is LOCKED AND CLOSED from in side. I double checked my watch and mobile it was only 3.00pm. The board out clearly mentioned upto 3.45 pm is lunch time.
ABSULITLY UNPROFESSIONAL, IRRESPONSIBLE ACT BY STAFFS OR MANAGEMENT. HOSPITALITY BUSINESSES DOESN'T RUNN THIS WAY.
It has a big walled area which includes three different shapes of buildings lawn etc, you will get a main gate before you go to the restaurant. It appears to me that they have staff...

I don't think there's a better restaurant in the Leh city to be enjoying the sunset than this one. Their outdoor seating, the gravel-lined lawns, candle-lights deserves a 10 stars for sure. The atmosphere really sets the mood and watching the sun set beyond the rugged brown mountains and snowcapped peaks in the distance is a picture that will forever be etched in my mind.
The food did not disappoint either. We ordered skewers, herb & garlic chicken, and spaghetti and taste wise they were good. But compared to the price, the amount felt unjustly small. I would however have to give points in efforts made by the chef for garnishing.
It's expensive, if you ask me but considering a majority of their customers were foreigners, I would guess they had upped their price to cater to a majorly foreign crowd. Plus, the menu feels a tad bit limiting. Not very many options either.
My only major concern, however, is that the waiters seemed to be paying more attention the groups of foreigners who had come here and sometimes absolutely ignoring us, when we needed to take something. A lot of reviews I read here talk about this bit of racism towards Indian customers and while it had not been anything extreme in our case, we still felt their approach towards Indians and foreigners was a tad bit different.
I would still say this place is worth going for a one time visit to catch the sunset and enjoy one meal, just for the sake...
Read moreI have had the worst dine in experience at bon appetit tonight. Apparently those who call themselves the owners of the restaurant are the most rudest and unethical people i have ever met. When restaurants ask you to check the menu so access if we can afford the restaurant and judges you and your family on the basis of our choice of food. Its pathetic.
The staff at this restaurant is as horrible as the decor indoors and the attitude that the owners have will surely let them down in the coming times. I've been told later that this was not the first instance that the owners have behaved rudely . I suggest eating at the other bon appetit , which is the original restaurant and not this fake restaurant .
Never visit a place that cannot respect the people who visit their place . Irrespective of whether they are operating fully or do not have the capability to serve what they have on the menu.
Bad food is okay but bad owners , unhygienic and rude staff and disrespect and no tolerance towards north Indians or Indians from other parts of the country should not be accepted.
Wish I had the option to give zero stars so settling with a one .
