This cafe is a little oasis that gave us the peace and comfort we needed. Here we had the best cappuccino in town, as well as very delicious smoothie bowls which will satisfied our cravings for fruit after having rice and dal every day while trekking. Unfortunately we only found this place towards the end of our trip, but as soon as we found it we fell in love and came back every day, sometimes even twice per day. The cappuccino is perfect, strong and made from speciality beans. We also loved the vietnamese iced coffee. We also very much enjoyed their food which is prepared fresh and with lots of love. All the items are created to perfection over the 5 years of business. The smoothie bowls are incredible, with granola and dried fruit on top and make a great healthy breakfast. The Khambir sandwich with grilled veggies is so so good, I’m still wondering whats their secret flavor. We always had one of their chocolate cookies with our coffee, which they heated up for the chocolate to melt😋 The pancakes are amazing as well, especially with blueberries. Last but not least we tried the Mug Cake which comes with cream and blueberries and is the perfect treat. We would have tried everything on the menu if we had more time (Especially their pizza!) The owners of the cafe are the kindest people, always smiling and listening to the wishes of their customers. Based on that they make great recommendations on what to order. This café gave us peace and a vacation feeling, which we much needed after traveling Ladakh. We can’t thank you enough for creating this place. PS: we love love love the choice of music in the morning

During our 10-day trip to Leh, our group visited Metta Cafe once, and it was an experience we won’t forget. Located near the Leh Main Market, the café is ideally situated for a peaceful break while exploring the town. What We Tried: • Hot Chocolate: The hot chocolate was rich, warm, and the perfect treat to enjoy in Leh’s chilly weather. • Mushroom Khambir Sandwich: This unique sandwich was a delightful local twist, and the flavors were fantastic. • Broccoli Mushroom Pizza & Margherita Pizza: Both pizzas were delicious—crispy crusts, fresh ingredients, and perfectly baked. • Cappuccino: The cappuccino was well-made and had a great balance of coffee and milk. Ambiance: Metta Cafe has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with an aesthetically pleasing décor that adds to its charm. There’s a lovely book corner for those who want to unwind with a good read, and downstairs, there’s open seating for those who prefer a more relaxed vibe. The upstairs area is especially cozy with vines adding a beautiful touch to the space. Special Mention: The owner of Metta Cafe is someone our friends and family knew, which made our visit even more special. It’s always great to find a place with a personal connection! Verdict: If you’re in Leh, Metta Cafe is definitely worth a visit. The food, drinks, and cozy atmosphere make it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some quality time with friends or family. Highly recommend!

A cute cafe tucked away some miles away from the main Leh market. They have a limited menu but at the same time offer vegan, vegetarian and non vegetarian options on whatever they serve. Each and every thing that we tried there was finger licking and scrumptious. Since, it is a boutique cafe fully run by 2-3 people, the service is a little slow but overall it's a lovely experience. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There were some 10 of us who sat outdoors for breakfast. The weather was great that day. All of us had a great time chit chatting, laughing, eating and enjoying ourselves. The place has a very comfortable and welcoming vibe. They also have a mini library set where you can sip, read and enjoy your time alone. This makes it a great place to visit in groups or alone. The staff is also very polite, helpful and courteous. I also liked their idea of keeping Mondays off of themselves as a corporate revenge, as the place is run by some 2-3 people who have faced the torment of the corporate world in their early lives.
