Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Madhya Pradesh

In search for good Chinese food I saw this restaurant, not much of promotion anywhere I would say but then I found it. I have eaten in very good Chinese authentic places like Clocktower in jabalpur, ricebowl in Bhopal and I would say this place is not anywhere near those. I was eager to try this place frankly but have me a disappointment. Place is in middle of city easy to reach i would say. One thing there lighting in the place are very dull I would say. There is no such attractive ambiance I would say. There menu is fine, all the regular dishes are there. I ordered 3 dishes and out of the three i would say spring rolls very fine but i will like to mention there food has alot of oil and in spring rolls also I could see that. Then we ordered wonton, and in the name of fried wonton we got the crisp only. The filing inside of wonton was negligible and I told that to the owner and his reply was you can check on Google, this dish is like this only. I have posted the picture of wonton i was served and you can compare this with Google, you will get the difference of filling. Then the third dish which I ordered was hakka noodles, which were just bland, no taste and covered in oil, nothing else. The staff is nice but they are not familiar with the menu or not able to explain is to the customer properly. From my side I would not recommend this place to anyone. The place is bit of overpriced...

Visited the place recently, i didnt know about this place before . The place is newr rankers point/ vidorra and just close to the square.

Well we visited the place in evening so it was quiter and limited no of seats were occupied. ambiance gives u a feel of authenticity related to hong kong

My friend suggested me to try their veg manchow soup and panner chilly. so we ordered both.. Manchow soup was good, everything was properly cooked in it specially mushroom. But paneer chilly was ok not that good.. i wont say that it was bad or something.. it was above average.

Overall if u r localide or its near u locality u can give it a try, other than that there are chinese places which serve chinese at decent price and have good taste..

this is generally the case with place which has both non veg and veg.

So my search for good Chinese food led me to this restaurant and it was worth it. The food quality and quantity is very good. I had ordered chicken sk soup(forgot to take pic as I was very hungry)which is served with wantons. The soup had a thick creamy consistency and was tasty. But on mixing the wanton in soup with a bit of soya sauce just made the taste magical. I highly recommend it to everyone. Then i ordered chicken lollipop and chilli prawns. Both were very good at taste and the quantity was also very good. The prawns were very fresh and juicy. The staffs and the owner are very friendly and cheerful. In case of doubt on what to order, feel free to take their advice, which I can vouch were genuine. The ambience is a bit dark and simple which may not cater to everyone's taste. But the food will just make up for it. Be part of the legacy which is more than 4 decades old, the first Chinese restaurant of the whole...
