Located just under 500 meters from Aravind Eye Hospital, this restaurant stands out for its quality South Indian cuisine, offering a noticeable edge over many nearby eateries. The food tastes authentic and fresh, and service is quick.

While the pricing is slightly on the higher sidefor instance, a regular cup of tea costs around ₹22—is unjustified. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially patient while I had the language barrier communicating in Tamil.

The dining area is clean, and hygiene standards in food handling are excellent. Meals are served on traditional plantain leaves, which is both culturally authentic and environmentally conscious. The availability of air conditioning is a definite plus, especially during Madurai’s intense summer heat.

Food was alright. I had the podi idly, they gave little to no podi and I had to buy extra podi for which they charged me. Restaurant looks good from the outside. Inside, they have depictions of tamil culture and jallikattu with which the restaurant tries to make up for their poor ambience. The restaurant just opened and it looks like it is under construction. It is dirty all over, most of the tables on the top floor rock a lot, and the service is very poor and slow. They don't have an efficient way of getting food up to the top floor. Some waiters steal other waiters' idlis off of trays of idlis that do eventually come up to the top floor. I'm certainly never coming back again and I don't see a bright future for this...

I visited this place a few months back with my sister. They could improve the taste and quality. But I witnessed the worst ethical treatment of staffs. While on the way to the wash room I saw the restaurant authority yelling the cleaner to wash the toilet floor with bare hands with just a tissue paper. I condemned them then and there. I don't know if they still do it. It made my impression of the restaurant pretty bad. It might happen in almost all hotels. But this was visible. I am not a saint and can't bear it.
