Anita Simply South — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Recently had a chance to visit "Simply South" - authentic South Indian cuisine resto. After much discussion, finally decided to boycott Misal and try out some South Indian stuff at this joint. As it was Sunday, the place was full packed with crowd as expected and got an idea that we are at right place to satiate our hunger pangs.

Food Options Available A variety of food dishes including a wide range of Dosas, Idli (Normal/Dip), Vada (Normal/Dip) available to fulfill thirst.

Food Quality, Taste and Quantity All of these items were made up of fresh flour and tasted amazing.

Set Dosa

It was tempting as arrived. Palm size 3 dosas served in a plate with hot piping Sambar, Coconut Chutney, soft Potato Sabji and Tomato Chutney. Dosas were super soft with ample amount of butter spread all over dosa which just melted away in mouth. It just won't full your tummy but may cause to skip your meal.

Potato Sabji was prepared with well smashed potatoes and decent amount of spices added to it. Sabji was soft and tasted good.

Price Almost all food items ranged from ₹40 - ₹80. You may find this place a little bit overpriced than others in Kolhapur but in comparison with taste and quantity measures, it's a worth try. P. S. They don't charge extra for additional Sambar/Chutney but charge ₹10 extra for additional Potato Sabji though.

Service Run on "Self Service" basis.

Ambience When it comes to taste, this measure can be neglected. They don't have sitting arrangement. Instead have stand-on tables.

As name suggests it serves south indian dishes mainly but you can have thalis here also. In the morning you can have shira, upama also. Tea & coffee is also good. Overall taste is great. There is nothing to dislike here but Place is small so no chairs or sitting arrangement is here. Drinking water is provided. Only cash option is here. You have to take coupon first. Self service only.

This hotel has been in Kolhapur for a long time now and they have kept it same from day one. The food is brilliant, just like home food. The service is really fast. Fresh food is prepared here. The varieties in Dosa, Idlis, Wada's were good. the pricing is also fair with the quality of food served. The restaurant has tables to keep the plates and eat the food. You can smell the various flavours coming from the kitchen. The smell of sambar n etc.

I would definitely love to come here again and...
