Overhyped... Overhyped....Overhyped and worst Thali I ever eat

Please never ever go to this restaurant if you don't want to ruin your mahabaleshwar trip, we visited this restaurant in weekdays, we were very hungry and excited to have some good quality food in the restaurant and after entering the restaurant we saw the photos of so many celebrities and big business families like Ambani's to Birla's who had visited this restaurant in the past, so our expectations shoot up immediately so we took a table and looked at menu to order some food as we don't want to eat any fast food and snacks so we asked the waiter for some main course food and he said there are not many options in main course so you have only some veggies with chapati or you can have their bestseller UNLIMITED THALI (he insist) he also said that every celebrity or business families who ever visited their restaurant they ordered their signature THALI (Cost of thali - 400 Rupees) so we ordered the same and this was our worst decision, because their are 4 to 5 type of veggies, dal, kadhi, jowar bhakri and chapati in the thali and believe me even a street vendor (Haath Thela) sells better quality and tasty food than this, each and every vegi, dal, kadhi everything was tasteless and for this type of worst quality food they are charging 400 rupees per thali, at this price you will get best to best quality thali in any good restaurant of your city but what they are offering is just worst tasteless food which should be not cost more than 150 rupees so please think 10 times before going to this restaurant and think 100 times before ordering their worst quality THALI otherwise you will end up wasting your money on third class quality food.

One more thing, they are doing a scam with you after you order the thali they will give you chapatis and jowar roti with the veggies, dal, kadhi etc. and it's a unlimited thali so you're expecting that everything is unlimited but after giving 3..4 jowar rotis for a family of four people they will give only chapatis and when you ask them about jowar roti the waiter will say that sir jowar dough (atta) is end so there is only chapati available and if you say I want jowar chapati only because I am paying for a unlimited thali then the waiter will say, sir/mam you have to wait for it, as it will take take time to make jowar roti so please be careful of this.

Bagicha Corner Mahabaleshwar Review:

I recently visited Bagicha Corner in Mahabaleshwar as part of the Taxi Association's Tour 2 package, and I have some thoughts to share about the experience.

Firstly, Bagicha Corner is conveniently included in the Taxi Association's package tour, making it easily accessible for tourists exploring the beautiful hill station of Mahabaleshwar. The location is also on the way to Kate's Point, which adds to its accessibility and convenience.

One of the standout features of Bagicha Corner is its own strawberry farm, from which they source fresh strawberries during the strawberry season. This is a unique and charming aspect of the visit, allowing you to witness the source of the delectable fruit. However, I must mention that when I visited during the off-season, they prepared strawberry items using frozen strawberries. While this was acceptable in terms of quantity and quality, it did not leave a lasting impression. The taste, unfortunately, did not match the fresh and vibrant flavors of in-season strawberries, so it's not something I would highly recommend during the off-season.

One aspect that might deter some visitors is the pricing. At Rs. 180 for a single glass of strawberry with cream, Bagicha Corner is undeniably on the pricier side. While the location and experience add value, the taste didn't quite live up to the cost, making it feel a bit overpriced. The strawberry with cream was pleasant, but it didn't deliver the extraordinary taste that would justify the high price tag.

In summary, Bagicha Corner in Mahabaleshwar offers a unique experience, especially during the strawberry season when they source strawberries from their own farm. However, during the off-season, the use of frozen strawberries results in items that are just okay in terms of quantity and quality. Additionally, the high prices might leave you wanting more in terms of taste. While it's a convenient stop along the way to Kate's Point, I would suggest exploring other local options for a more satisfying strawberry treat at a...

Located near Vienna Lake, Bagicha Corner is a highly over-rated restaurant. This place is a typical hangout on the Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar Road, popular for its Strawberry Cream and Corn Pattice. Earlier it used to be visited by celebrities and industrialists, which can be seen from the photographs strewn all over the walls, but now It has become average like most other restaurants in Mahabaleshwar. It has a huge menu card that boasts over 83 dishes to eat and over 22 shakes and drinks. Reasonably priced but it is not a very clean place, they should keep it more hygienic. The restrooms aren't the best either and needs to be cleaned regularly.

In snacks we tried a few of there popular dishes like Makkai Pattice INR 80 and Makkai Pakoda INR 140 which were good. We also tried the most talked about Mulberry Bomb INR 350 and felt that it is over hyped. It contained a few fresh mulberries, with 3 to 4 scoops of icecream and loads of sweet syrup with cream. Due to extra syrup it became too sweet and watery. The Strawberry Juice INR 150 was made from frozen strawberries and was too sweet.

We also tried there Unlimited Maharashtrian Veg Thali INR 380, Dal Rice INR 150 and Kadhi Khichadi INR 200. The thali had four vegetables, dal, kadhi, jowar roti, chapati and rice without sweet. The Jowar roti was very soft & nice. The Kadhi was sweet gujrati kadhi served with soft mushy staff white rice tadka as khichdi. It was very unusual and I have never eaten any khichdi like this. The Dal Rice was the same soft white staff rice without lentils and was nothing different than the khichdi. It is also worth mentioning that all the items were fresh and hot. The only issue is their service which at times gets annoying when the footfall is high.

Based on the review, it is recommended to visit the place and get...

Nestled in the lush landscapes of Mahabaleshwar, Bagicha Corner offers a delightful retreat for food lovers seeking to indulge in local flavors with a unique twist. As a recent visitor, I was charmed by their culinary offerings, especially the corn pizza and the heavenly strawberry with cream. These dishes stood out not only for their freshness but also for the innovative way they captured the essence of Mahabaleshwar's agricultural bounty. πŸ“πŸ•πŸŒ½πŸ˜‹ While Bagicha Corner is a testament to the region's rich produce, guests should note a few practical aspects to ensure a smooth visit. The eatery has limited parking space, which can be somewhat challenging to find. This minor inconvenience, however, is a small price to pay for the culinary delights that await. I would recommend visiting on weekdays to fully enjoy the serene ambiance, as weekends tend to draw larger crowds, making the experience less intimate. Patience is key when dining at Bagicha Corner. The service, while extremely slow, is a reminder of the relaxed pace of life in Mahabaleshwar and the care put into preparing each dish. This slow-food approach is something to be savored, much like the dishes themselves. Another important note for visitors is the restaurant's cash-only payment policy. While this might be a slight drawback in an increasingly digital world, it adds to the charm and rustic feel of the dining experience. In summary, Bagicha Corner is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore Mahabaleshwar's culinary scene. Despite the slow service and limited parking, the exceptional food, imbued with local flavors and freshness, makes it a memorable spot. Just remember to carry cash, avoid peak weekend times, and prepare for a leisurely meal that celebrates the slow and savory joys of dining.
