When we were looking for a pure vegetarian restaurant near Venna Lake, we found that Madhur restorant on mahabaleshwar panchagangi road. We ordered after seeing the interior of the hotel thinking it would be good. But our guess was totally wrong. At first, the waiter served onion and lemon which was very stale. So I gave it back and asked the waiter to bring another fresh onion and lemon. But he was very smart. He brought the same onion and lemon and said it was fresh and just cut.We ordered here Tea, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chapati, Butter Roti, Dal and Jeera Rice.None of these dishes were tasty. The service was so late that don't ask.Had to wait for 20 minutes for one chapati. The gravy of the Paneer Tikka was stale so it smelled. So we didn't eat it. Interestingly, the prices are very expensive and the quantity is very low.We showed this to the waiter and manager but they did not accept it. The floor of the hotel was so dirty that it looked like it had not been mopped for at least 5 days. Same situation with table and plate. As usual, I washed the plate myself by hand and cleaned it with tissue paper. So I earnestly request you to think not once but 1000 times before...
Read moreOn our trip to Mahabaleshwar we wanted to eat simple food as this place had decent reviews thought of visiting it. They have simple menu with breakfast , thalis , punjabi, Chinese and Maharashtrian dishes.Just an FYI they don't serve starters. Manchow soup was a bit spicy, daal tadka was perfectly cooked it had garlic pieces crushed which added extra flavour. They had wheat and maida roti options both were soft and hot when served. I had masala papad after many years and that too was tasty.
Cost wise this is very affordable. They have indoor as well as outdoor sitting.Online payment options available. While paying if you have internet /network issues they provide wifi. Parking space is...
Read moreI wanted to share my recent experience from just last week regarding a hotel near Pawana Lake that I believe warrants your attention.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with both the food and the service provided by the hotel staff. Despite paying a bill that was 5000 above what we anticipated, the quality of the food was subpar, and the portion sizes were noticeably insufficient.
I strongly urge you to reconsider lunch or dinner at this hotel. Many visitors are often exhausted after their trip to Pawana Lake, and while this hotel is conveniently located nearby, I found that there are numerous restaurants a little further away that offer better quality food at...
