"Everyone is a story; Everything has a story"

And, then there are stories that are scripted with its cardinal characters, our friends of course, on the backdrop of a Well Stocked Bar; such stories for sure are the fondest of them all. Well, someone wise once said 'A good story can take your imagination anywhere', and I am sure he must be on a solid dope with his friends at a chic bar when he said this, we all relate and agree to this, don't we ?

How about a place which is not only a watering hole but a literal cornerstone of many such great stories; Bar Stories is what I am talking about. Hip and Hap in the appearance but a total 'Desi' at heart, isn't this how you want 'stories' about you to be told. If yes, Bar Stories is very much like you and for you in every sense of word.

Some crazy Cocktails were served to begin with:

TubeLight (Vodka Based Asian Inspired Cocktail): Crowd pleaser, great to look at, spectacular to pose with and even better when swigged down. Cuckin' Frazy !!!

Lost Stories: A rosemary twist on the good ol' Bourbon Sour and was it good or what. Fantastico !!!

Selfie Queen: All Pomp, All Show and Great Taste; What else you want from a Cocktail. Vodka with Kahlua and Chocolate is a little sweet for my liking but a great mix nonetheless.

Its my legacy: The new 'IN' thing; Gin, with the Hawaiian Mixers. Soaking sunshine with shades, water touching your feet, sand slipping through your curling toes; You don't go to the beach, the beach comes to you right here at Pune, go enjoy the swing sans hammock.

Deepest Desire: Gin with Galangal, Rosemary and the forbidden fruit i.e Apple Juice. Wanna get sloshed on flavours, have this one. EasyPeasy !!!

Krounenbourg 1664 Blanc: This one embodies France in every bit and every sip. It is an amazingly refreshing premium wheat beer that seduces consumers with its unique taste and appearance. Brewed with a hint of citrus and coriander spice, Blanc has an inimitable sweet and inspiriting flavor that makes it special among all other wheat beers.

Befitting such well made drinks you need some seriously good food. A brief summary of what made it to the table that day:

Herb Quinoa Salad, Veg. Ceaser Salad and Bar Stories Special Chicken Salad: All these were good; fresh, crunchy and light. Detox after Retox, anyone ?

King Fish in Schezwan Sauce: Presented beautifully. Big rightly cooked chunk of King Fish poured with tangy spicy Schezwan Sauce. Tasted great !!!

Sesame Chilli Prawns: Again a very well done dish. Good to go with chilled beers !!!

Murg Nizami Tikka: Piquancy of Tandoori Masala, Super Soft Tikkas, topped with grated & cream Cheese. Not sure if it was Nizami but it Definitely was a Tsunami (of flavours), blown away !!!

Egg Tikka: Boiled eggs stuffed with Chicken Kheema, done up like tikkas. Smokey, Spicy and everything that you would want on your plate !!!

Supreme Nachos: Underwhelming !!!

Corn Curd Mongolian: We all know by now that this special offering by China Grill and Bar Stories is the real deal. Rhapsodical, indeed !!!

Stuffed fungi delight & Corn Crispy Crunchy: Absolute winners, great components to an unforgettable (Bar) story !!!

Mains: Pav Bhaji Fondue (Good but not something great to write home about), Mutton Ghee Roast with Lachha Paratha (Needed some more ghee punch and spice kick to meet our sky high expectations) and Veg Thai Curry with Rice (One of the very best that I have had in town).

Butter Chicken Pizza (A little too sweet for my liking but creamy nonetheless and well done base makes it a delight overall) and Farmhouse Veg. Pizza (Thin Crust with Exotic Veggies on top, loved it)

Desserts were Tiramisu (Delectably decadent, some more punch of rum would do wonders) and Chocolate Bomb (Does complete justice to its name, a bomb; Photographer's Delight, indeed).

If not the entire story, this was indeed a great chapter in my culinary...

Bar Stories one of the good place in City-one Mall , Pimpri . Fancy place with amazing ambiance & good food with hookah available here ! The place is good with seating arrangements having barstool high seating & regular chair - table seating . With fancy lights with spot lights on tables & high bulbs with amazing bar counter . With eye-catching bar-counter , fancy wall paintings & neon lights you may attract with & also has live screening .

A) Parking available at the venue . B) Good place with good seating arrangements . C) Good quality food served here . D) Staff is sweet and polite here with helping nature for your queries and friendly about the selection . E) The place is amazing by it's all means & serving good food , hookah & drinks !!

Coming to the menu what we had 😋 .

Mocktails ( ₹199/249 ) - Mr. smart , Hot Guava Punch , I'm still Virgin , King Alphonso this all mocktails with each of different taste , quite good & refreshing drinks from these loved i'm still virgin it was all good .

Corn Crunchy Crispy (₹260) - The kind of bar bites i can say , the chatpata & good in taste made with fine chopped onions , spring onion & sweet corn with spices . It was truely delicious also good in presentation .

Supreme Nachos (₹260 ) - The amazing Nachos i had till the date ! With good amount of sauce & veggies , the nacos were aslo pretty good & crispy tasted amazing with the toppings .

Paneer Banjara - Fresh & soft Cottage Cheese marinated well & done with spices & added veggies in it then made in tandoor . The outer layer with a bit crisp at the ends & juocy paneer with it's flavour made it all amazing .

Caesar Salad ( ₹240 ) - Fresh salad made with lettuces , bread crumbs , olives & sauce over it . Was served chilled so tasted good & fresh .

Two Melon Salad (₹240 ) - The fresh fruits salad that i loved the most , had small scoop watermelons , muskmelons , pine nuts , with feta & fine chopped lettuces dressing over .

Siracha Paneer Pizza (₹300 ) - The thin crust Pizza with yumm taste , with the base of red Siracha sauce & Paneer over it & lots of cheese it was good in consistency & taste-wise too yumm .

Green Thai Curry with Rice (₹280 ) - The Green Thai Curry made with fresh coconut milk & english veggies like broccoli , bell pepper , mushroom , etc served with White Steam Rice . The combo tasted too way amazing & was made totally perfect .

Chocolate Bomb (₹240 ) - Chocolatw bomb with the amazing presentation i.e. chocolate bomb with vanilla icecream over it , in the corner of dish & dish decorated with the name design of Bar Stories . The chocolate ball had hot chocolate within & was damn amazing , tasted well with vanilla ice cream .

Tiramisu Jar (₹240 ) - The Tiramisu jar was like a bit different , like i have tried tiramisu made with classic chocolate whipped cream & with dark chocolate powder over it & cake base in between . But here it was not upto the mark , maybe the chocolate flavour or the dominant flavour was not there .

Cheesecake (₹240 ) - Was overall okaish , the cheese layer in between was more thick like you couldn't feel it smooth maybe something went wrong that day , otherwise the flavour & base crust was good .

Bar Stories has one of the quirkiest interiors and some amazing quotes which go very well with the theme of the restaurant. They’ve amazed me with their food and drinks and I simply can’t wait to share my experience with you’ll.

Paneer Achari Tikka -Paneer tikka flavored with pickling spices instantly gives you that sour taste of achaar and is a great option for vegetarians.

Egg Tikka – Hard boiled eggs stuffed with chicken kheema and then put into the tandoor is something unique. I doubt that you’ll find something like this in Pune. I quite liked it.

Murg Makrana Kebab – Murgh Makrana was the bomb. Tangdi marinated in Indian spices and cooked to perfection was literally melt in mouth. Never have I ever eaten such a well cooked tangdi till date. #HighlyRecommended #MustTry

Chermoula Grilled Prawns – I loved the prawns. The flavour of paprika was so intense and the prawns were marinated really well. Plus squeeze that slice of lemon on top and tadaa… your dish is taken to the next level.

Fish In Lemon Butter Garlic Sauce – I am actually falling short of words when I have to write about it. Firstly, the combination of lemon, butter and garlic is out of this world and secondly fish is such a thing that you can use any kind of masala and marination and you are sorted. The fish had subtle flavours of lemon, butter and garlic and talking about the texture the crust was nice and crispy. #HighlyRecommended #MustTry #JerlynRecommends

Lobster Rigatoni – Lobster and pasta = you have my heart. I went crazy looking at this one! The only place in Pune (according to me) who serve it this way. The pasta was Al Dante and how can one not like cheese sauce? The consistency of the sauce was just right.

Bhoot Jhulakia Chicken Pizza – This pizza should come with a warning label! Well, I know that the word ‘Bhoot Jhulakia’ itself is an alarm for people who don’t fancy spicy food but I wanted to try and check the level of spiciness and my meter says its on the higher side. It’ll literally put you on fire. Recommended for people who love spicy food.

Chocolate Bomb with Ice Cream – This beauty is pure bliss. So much chocolate that I was literally in food coma. #MustTry

Caramel Custard – The caramel custard was pretty decent. Worth giving it a shot.

Overall, Bar Stories is a killer place! They serve some mind blowing cocktails and mocktails and the place definitely does justice its name. The prices are decent for the quality and quantity of food they provide.
