Prawns Thali Absolutely delightful! The prawns were fresh, perfectly cooked, and coated with just the right amount of masala — rich in flavor but not overpowering. The thali typically includes solkadhi, bhakri/chapati, rice, and a side of prawn curry, all of which complemented each other beautifully. The curry had a home-style taste with a spicy kick, and the dry prawns sukka was a standout!
Surmai Thali A must-try for seafood lovers! The Surmai (kingfish) fry was crisp on the outside, tender inside, and well-marinated. The portion was generous and paired nicely with the tangy curry and steamed rice. The solkadhi was refreshing and helped balance the spice. The simplicity and authenticity of the thali made it feel like a coastal feast.
Overall Experience: Both thalis offer a fulfilling and authentic coastal Maharashtrian seafood experience. If you love bold spices and fresh seafood, you won't be disappointed. Excellent value for money and great taste!
The ambience of the restaurant perfectly complements its seafood offerings. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a calm, coastal vibe — simple yet inviting. The interiors are clean and well-maintained, with marine-themed décor like nets, fish murals, and subtle lighting that adds to the charm.
Seating is comfortable and spacious enough to enjoy a relaxed meal. Soft instrumental or Konkani music in the background (if played) adds a soothing touch. The aroma of fresh seafood cooking in the open kitchen area enhances the overall dining experience without being overwhelming.
Whether you're here for a quick thali or a long family dinner, the peaceful and down-to-earth setting makes it a pleasant place to enjoy...
Read moreThis weekend, I had the pleasure of dining at a seafood restaurant that came highly recommended, and the experience was nothing short of amazing.
Upon arrival, we found ourselves in a short waiting period of about 15-20 minutes, which only heightened our anticipation for the delightful dishes that awaited us. The ambiance was good, filled with the tantalizing aromas of freshly cooked seafood, setting the stage for what would be a memorable meal.
We started our culinary adventure with an array of dishes: prawns sukka, surmai tawa fry, rice bhakri, solkadhi, bombil rawa, and prawns biryani. Each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to quality.
The prawns sukka was spot on, perfectly spiced to my liking, with tender, juicy prawns that brought a delightful heat to the palate. The surmai tawa fry followed suit, being just as delicious, with its tender texture making it a standout on the table. The prawns biryani was another star—richly flavored and packed with succulent prawns that were both juicy and soft, it was a dish I could easily have had seconds of.
The bombil rawa was decent, though I did feel that the portion was a bit on the smaller side. Meanwhile, the solkadhi, while refreshing, could use a little refinement to elevate its flavor profile.
Despite these minor critiques, the overall experience was a fabulous treat for my taste buds. I genuinely left the restaurant feeling satisfied and eager to return for another round of delectable seafood dishes. Definitely looking forward to...
Read moreI visited this restaurant tonight and the experience was absolutely pathetic. I usually don't post the reviews but this one is necessary so people dont spoil their mood.
Food: It was pathetic and tasteless, I am specially using this word since I am from konkan and tasted seafood for very long period of time and this was second worst since Ratnasagar restaurant from North Goa have the first place. We ordered surmai thali and bangda thali. The food was cold and they served chicken gravy with bangda pieces in both thalis. The curry was tasteless, the fry piece for surmai thali was too small for the price which was around 600. The fry piece in bangda thali was undercooked. I didn't raise this with staff since it was 10.30 in the night and everyone was busy wrapping up. The solkadi was sour in the taste, looks like it was prepared in the afternoon.
Menu: The most unique thing about menu is you don't get to the prices for most of the fish, so please keep your pockets full if you going with group since you won't know how much it will cost you unless you ask the staff. I can understand the APS tag in the menu for exotic fish like king prawns, lobsters, crabs etc but for pomfret and surmai you can not have dynamic prices.
Ambience: I personally don't bother much about ambience since it's personal choice but I would like to mention here that chairs were superheavy and I faced hard time adjusting them with rough surfaces below.
Verdict: it's overhyped and not worth your...
