During my recent visit to Geeta Pavbhaji Hotel in Pune, I had a mixed experience with their offerings. While their pav bhaji stood out as the highlight, I found that some of their other food options did not meet my expectations. Here's a breakdown of my visit:
Pav Bhaji: Geeta Pavbhaji Hotel is renowned for its pav bhaji, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The pav bhaji was flavorful, with a rich and well-balanced combination of spices. The pav (bread) was soft and complemented the bhaji perfectly. This dish was undoubtedly the standout item on the menu.
Limited Food Options: One aspect that disappointed me was the limited variety of food options available. I was unable to find grilled items like sandwiches or grilled dosas during my visit. Additionally, the unavailability of popular items like pizza was a letdown. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to expand their menu to cater to a wider range of tastes and preferences.
Inconsistent Quality: I found that the quality of the food items other than the pav bhaji varied. The grilled items, which were not available at the time, might have added some diversity to the menu. The lack of knowledge in making Mayur dosa was also disappointing. Consistency in food preparation is crucial to ensure a satisfying dining experience.
Service and Ambience: The service at Geeta Pavbhaji Hotel was average, with the staff being polite but not particularly attentive. The ambience of the restaurant was basic, lacking any notable decor or ambiance-enhancing elements.
In conclusion, Geeta Pavbhaji Hotel is known for its famous pav bhaji, which lived up to expectations. However, I was disappointed by the limited food options, including the absence of grilled items like sandwiches and dosas. Inconsistent quality in the other food offerings and the lack of knowledge in preparing certain dishes also affected my overall experience.
While I would recommend trying the pav bhaji at Geeta Pavbhaji Hotel, I suggest managing expectations for the other food options. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to expand its menu and improve consistency in order to provide a more satisfying...
Read moreI recently visited the highly acclaimed pav bhaji spot with great expectations, only to be met with severe disappointment. The hype surrounding this place is unwarranted, as my experience fell far short of what I had heard.
To begin with, the taste of the pav bhaji was mediocre at best. The bhaji lacked the rich and authentic flavors that I associate with a good pav bhaji. It was rather bland and lacked the depth of spices that make this dish special. The pav itself was not fresh and lacked the softness that is essential to enjoy it with the bhaji.
The portion size was also disappointing, especially given the price. For the price point, I expected a more generous serving, but what I received felt insufficient, leaving me unsatisfied and still hungry after finishing the meal.
The service was another letdown. The staff seemed disinterested and not very attentive to the customers. It took a considerable amount of time for my order to arrive, and even then, it wasn't served with the warmth one would expect from a reputed eatery.
The ambiance also didn't add to the dining experience. The seating was cramped and uncomfortable, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. The lack of proper ventilation made the dining area stuffy and unpleasant.
What struck me the most was the disparity between the hype and the reality. This pav bhaji spot has been touted as a must-visit by many, but my visit left me wondering if I had come to the same place others had praised.
In conclusion, this pav bhaji spot turned out to be overrated and far from the exceptional experience I was led to believe it would be. The taste, portion size, service, and ambiance all left much to be desired. It's disheartening to see such a gap between expectations and reality. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and satisfying pav bhaji experience. There are undoubtedly better options out there that offer a more true-to-form and...

We dropped by Geeta Pav Bhaji craving something hearty and flavorful, and their meal combo truly hit the spot. They have an automatic queue management system where one has to scan the QR code at the entrance gate to enter their details and get the current waiting status. Me and my wife really liked their system to manage the crowd which is a unique offering by this restaurant to keep them above all the other famous restaurants. We got the table after waiting for just 5-10 min.
The PAV BHAJI, the star of the show, was rich, buttery, and perfectly spiced – exactly how a good Mumbai-style bhaji should be. The extra jodi pav came hot and fresh off the tawa, nicely buttered with that crispy outside and soft inside combo we all love. One more thing which we really like is that they keep a plate full of Chopped Onion, lemon and mixed pickle on every table so that customers can use as much as they want. They don't have to wait to ask the waiter to bring it again and again.
The Veg Pulav was surprisingly good too – aromatic, well-cooked, and paired nicely with their cool raita. It wasn’t overshadowed by the pav bhaji, which says a lot.
To top it all off, we ordered their Cold Coffee, and honestly, it was the perfect finish. Smooth, chilled just right, and with a nice coffee kick—not too sweet, just balanced.
Overall, Geeta Pav Bhaji is a solid pick if you're in the mood for street-style comfort food that doesn’t hold back on flavor. Great value, fast service, and consistent quality.
Highly recommended Pav Bhaji place which I really want people to try atleast once if they are...
