Visiting Irani Cafe in Wakad was a refreshing experience, offering a perfect mix of nostalgia and delicious food. The moment I stepped inside, the old-world charm of the place stood out—simple wooden chairs, checkered tablecloths, and vintage decor that instantly transported me to the era of classic Irani cafés. The relaxed ambiance made it an inviting space, whether for a quick chai break or a long, unhurried meal.
The food here lived up to the reputation. I started with their famous Irani Chai, which was strong, well-brewed, and had just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the Bun Maska, a soft, fluffy bun slathered generously with butter. The simplicity of this combination never fails to impress, and here, it was done just right. For something more filling, I tried their Keema Pav, which was packed with flavor, with well-cooked, spiced keema and fresh pav that soaked up all the goodness.
Apart from the staples, the dessert selection was a pleasant surprise. The Chocolate Walnut Cake was moist, rich, and the perfect way to end the meal. While the menu had many tempting options, these classic choices made the experience feel truly authentic. The service was efficient, with the staff being polite and quick to serve, despite the place being quite busy.
Irani Cafe in Wakad is a place I’d definitely return to, whether for a solo chai break or a relaxed outing with friends. The combination of good food, nostalgia, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it a great spot. If you’re in the area, stopping by for their Irani Chai and Bun Maska is a must—it’s the kind of simple pleasure that...
Read moreWorst ever experience at the Irani Cafe Wakad branch.I went in with my friends today morning and this decision turned out to be a nightmare.
We ordered Chicken Cutlets,Chicken Double decker sandwich,Veg Sandwich,Egg Burji and ban maska.
Our order came to our table in installments
First - Veg Sandwich after 40 mins Second - 3 plate Chicken Cutlets out of which 2 came after 45 to 50 mins And the the last cutlet after more 5 mins Thirds - Comes the egg burji after 55 mins of placing the order along with the bun maska
Forth - The double deck chicken sandwich didn't not come atall after even more then 1 hr and finally we had to leave cancelling the order.
The worst part was for each order we had to continuously go to the waiter and keep chasing for the same to get it.
The staff was least bothered and cared if the customer was even getting irritated.
Initially thought it was jus me but when I saw couple of more people complaining about order still not received on the table even after 30-40 mins , and also saw many customers leave as no one was even attending them or they didi not get there orders.
The manager was least bothered and when we said that we will review he gave a "I don't Care" look. Which was completely unprofessional and disrespectful towards customers.
The most frustarting part to add to all that this Branch of Irani cafe was busy packing and sending out Zomato orders and keeping customers unattended and hungry.
Worst ever experience...I wish there was -ve rating option.
Never had such experience in any other Branch.
Pathetic service,...
Read moreI have been visiting the Irani Cafe in Wakad regularly for the past year, and I must say, this place has a special charm. The ambiance of the cafe is tastefully designed, with a delightful combination of colors, captivating wall art, elegant chandeliers, and beautiful tiles. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the positive vibes that enhance the overall dining experience.
The highlight of my visits has always been the bun maska. It is simply amazing, and I find myself craving it every time I think of this cafe. The bun is fresh and fluffy.
While I appreciate the variety of pastries available, I must admit that I'm not a fan of their Irani tea. However, that's just my personal preference, and I'm sure tea lovers will find it enjoyable.
In terms of food, the overall quality is good. The cafe offers a decent selection of dishes, and they manage to maintain a consistent level of taste and flavor. It's evident that they pay attention to the quality of ingredients used.
The only downside to my experiences at this cafe has been the service, which tends to be a bit slow. There have been instances where I had to wait longer than expected to receive my order or to get the attention of the staff. It would be great if they could work on improving the speed and efficiency of their service.
Despite the slow service, I continue to come back to this Irani Cafe in Wakad because of its wonderful ambiance, delicious bun madka, and overall enjoyable dining experience. If you're looking for a place with a unique vibe and tasty food, this cafe is definitely...
