We were invited to Level 12 - The rooftop restaurant at DoubleTree by Hilton, for a new menu launch and food tasting event.
The ambiance is quite good. It is dimly lit and quite breezy up there. The view from the rooftop is ordinary as the location of the hotel is in MIDC. However, the openness and fresh air is always appreciated. The service was slow and uncoordinated. We had to wait for 15-20 minutes between each course. We started at 8.30pm and our last course was served at 10pm. We had to wait for 10 minutes for the rotis to arrive after main course and the rotis were served cold. When we requested for butter rotis, we were served the same when we had started with desserts.
Good Dishes: Waterless Golgappa Baked Gulab Jamun
Average Dishes: Zafrani Paneer Tikka Corn Cheese Kurkure Lagan ka Paneer Subz Dum Biryani
Bad Dishes: Singada aur Chilgoza ke Kofte 12 ki daal Rotis / Kulche
Most of the dishes were average. Only 1 starter and dessert was good. The quality of food and service overall is not up to the mark. I would not recommend visiting Level 12 as there is no substantial offering...
Read moreThis rating is for the Japanese restaurant Miyuki. I would rate the food 3.5 on 5. Good food in general but i dont think it justifies the high pricing. Hospitality and service and general feel i would rate 2 on 5. It certainly did not feel like i was dining at a premium restaurant! there was hardly any service available. People/staff just walked in and out of the place to the kitchen and back without acknowledging/greeting us. There was no one in there when you needed something, no one to explain the menu, talk about the food. It was just the chef who i think was running the whole place right from taking orders, making the food live and serving. It gave me a feel like eating at a food truck, gourmet food truck at the most. Maybe it was a bad day. The place is well made with a live kitchen and just a small seven seater dining area to give you the exclusive feel and has so much potential to do well. But the whole experience is no where close to a five star dining experience. Maybe this was just a bad day for them but not expected from a...
Read moreI visited Miyuki all by myself for dinner and I must say that the overall experience was exquisite. It has a very cozy setup with Chef Karim Jatty, head chef at Miyuki, guiding you through everything. I would highly recommend people who are new to Japanese Cuisine to pick Chef Karim’s brain as I did the same and decided to have Ebi Tempura Roll and Miso Pork Ramen as per his recommendations.
The food was absolutely splendid. The braised pork in ramen was so tender that it was tearing apart with chopsticks. Two forms of seaweeds, blanched and fried, put on top of the ramen provided for textural diversity and amazing seafood flavours. Broth was very light and yet packed with flavours. Ebi tempura roll was also very delicious and is a must-try for all the prawn lovers.
I would like to thank Chef Karim for the amazing experience and I cannot wait to visit...
