Nestled conveniently along the bustling Pune-Mumbai highway in Lonavala, Maval Maratha promises a taste of traditional Maharashtrian cuisine with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Our recent visit to this restaurant left us with a mixed impression, showcasing both strengths and areas for improvement.

The highlights of our meal were undoubtedly the bhakri and pithla. The bhakri, skillfully prepared live on the ground floor, exuded a delightful aroma and tasted authentically homemade. Paired with the flavorsome pithla, it was a combination that truly satisfied our palate. However, the akhha masoor failed to leave a lasting impression, as it lacked the depth of flavors we anticipated.

Moving on to the Masala Tak and solkadhi, we found them to be quite spicy, adding a fiery kick to our meal. While enjoyable, the spiciness might not appeal to those with a milder palate.

Ambiance-wise, Maval Maratha offers a simple and functional setting. The decor is basic but clean, providing a comfortable environment for dining. Convenient parking right in front of the restaurant adds to its accessibility, making it a hassle-free choice for travelers passing through.

Overall, our experience at Maval Maratha was satisfactory. The standout dishes like bhakri and pithla showcase the restaurant's potential to deliver authentic Maharashtrian flavors. With some improvements in consistency across all dishes and perhaps a bit more attention to the overall dining ambiance, Maval Maratha could elevate its appeal further. For now, it remains a decent option for those craving traditional Maharashtrian fare while on the move along the...

Food- just awesome! We had ordered a mutton thali and the taste and serving was definitely, a gr8 experience. The chapatis and bhakaris are made by local ladies in front of you at the entrance and the literally pour love into it while preparing them. So no compromises on the taste, as such. The location too is very good and ambience as an overall is gr8.

But as usual, I do not miss out on critics and here, the service is pathetic. 3 waiters to cater to all the tables out there- which is roughly 5 tables per waiter. So, expect a lot of waiting and delays even for the menu, water and spoons(happened with us, we actually had to wait to receive a spoon to start eating). So, I am rating this as 4 due to the good food. The service however, might change over time or if they increase personnel.

Update(23-May-2023) We visited the restaurant 3 days ago and the service is still pathetic. They really need to improve on their services. I think the issue is because the kitchen and reception counter is downstairs while their seating is upstairs which causes communication issues amongst themselves and the service to the customers is impacted. The staff is very slow in responding too- even a bottle of water...

Good food no doubt, but not a great service i mean the service person was just using his phone standing aside roaming using phone.. Then going somewhere we need to call the other person that was too far to the other table ...... I felt food was good but too expensive...not worth as per the ambience and service... If ambience and service was great no doubt to pay that much... They don't bother to ask can we switch off light we were having food.... They just switched off the light.. I mean bhai tumare customer ko bolo... light band karre hai bola nhi kuch nhi bas jidar baite vaha ki light band kardi or kahi ki chalu rakhi... I thought kya bole🤦‍♂️12bajne wale hai band karne wale bolo tho... Sida light band karenge... Andere mai khau tum.. Jo dur se light ari usmai kaam chalao🤦‍♂️ service person ko order se jyada phone ki padi hai..... U can order less spicy food coz they say nhi ban sakta.. Like we said can we get butter paneer not to sweet medium mild.. Not to sweet nhi bansakta aree dusre hotel tho banate hai.. Even am chef i know we can make it 🤦‍♂️ sirf expensive hai or kuch nhi... Good food❤ but without service...

Hello local host here, soo yesterday as it was weekend we decided to eat out. This was a new place for us to try other than our usuall, firstly the service was late like LATE LATE we ordered starters and main course in one go it took 20 min for the starters to arrive not an issue BUT the main course i swear my appetite was gone, like we ordered 1 thali it took them 20 to 25 mins to arrive and this one table got theirs 1st inspite of arriving few mins after us it took another 10 15 min for the gravy and naan to arrive i swear felt like leaving the restuarant then nd there itself cuz gravy was extremely salty no taste at all and hella spicy and its not like we ordered something rare it was typical common chicken tikka masala how can someone mess up in that. We waited 30 40 min for the food to arrive and to expect low quality truly bad . Only clicked the starters picture. They were ok in taste not bad or good ,but i didnt expect this kind of service and it was our 1st time too, wont be visiting again .
