It's a great disappointment. I have travelled from Panvel to eat here after hearing lot of good things about this joint. What I saw after eating here is, Too much waiting. Inhad to wait for 40+ mins to get a table. Surprising to see so little food options in the menu. There is no variety of food at all both for veg and non-veg. Food quality and taste is no better (if not worse) than any other Maharashtrian hotels in Mumbai. Food quantity is also not adequate. It's a very average food. Had better food than this in many not so famous Maharashtrian eateries around Mumbai. Sitting arrangement is not good. Though overall ambience is somewhat satisfactory. They do not accept anything else apart from cash. No card, no UPI.
Final verdict: If you heard about this place frm someone you know or from YouTube and thinking to travel here from Mumbai/Pune. Don't bother. It's not worth it. Search some Kolhapuri eatery nearby where you live. I am sure you will find there better food than this. This joint is...
Read moreAbsolutely not worth it. This place is the definition of overhyped and overpriced.
We ordered a pomfret fry for ₹500 — and it wasn’t even a big fish. It was small, with barely any meat on it. Then came the chicken masala at ₹450 for 4–5 tiny pieces, most of which were bone. The quantity and quality were both shocking for the price.
And if that wasn’t enough, the menu had curd listed at ₹300, raita also at ₹300, and plain steamed rice at ₹200. For basic sides. Seriously?
Even Pune — which is already a fairly expensive city for food — feels reasonable next to this. In Lonavala, a hill station known for simple getaways, these prices are beyond excessive. It feels like they’re charging just because they can, assuming tourists won’t question it.
There’s no value, no standout taste, and no justification for the sky-high pricing. The whole experience felt like a rip-off — and left us feeling more annoyed than satisfied.
Bottom line: Save your money and eat literally anywhere else. This was all hype and zero...
Read moreI visited Joshi homely food with my family (4people ) . I had heard a lot from frds and family about the good nonveg food servered here, but to my surprise I was served stale food ... firstly the menu was very heavily priced 1- mutton gravy 550rs 2- chicken dry 400 3- chicken gravy 340 4- pompret fry 480 per piece .
We ordered the above mentioned dishes .mutton gravey was barely OK . chicken gravy was just water , with no taste to it . And pompret was stale with no taste .we threw the whole pompret .
We were charged a whopping 2400 for such tasteless food .
Nextly the hotel doesnot have card or anything, just cash been accepted.
My entire family was very excited to have lunch there, since had heard a lot about it .but we ended with disappointment and frustration of eating bad food .
Not Recommended to anyone .
Please do consider my sincere feedback .And try to serve your customer better...
