I had the absolute misfortune of dining at Shree Swamisneh Dining Hall, and I can confidently say it was one of the worst thali experiences of my life. If you're looking for a bland, overpriced, and stomach-upsetting meal, this place has it all.
Food Quality – 1/10 The thali looked promising at first, but the taste was an utter disappointment. The sabzis were overcooked and tasteless, as if they were prepared for people who have lost their sense of taste. The dal was nothing more than a thin, watery mess with zero flavor. The chapatis were dry and rubbery, making them nearly impossible to chew.
Service – 2/10 The staff seemed like they were doing a huge favor by serving food. The attitude was indifferent, and they barely cared to refill anything. Even after asking multiple times, the buttermilk was served warm—who drinks warm buttermilk?!
Ambience – 3/10 The place is overcrowded, noisy, and poorly ventilated. The chairs and tables are crammed together, and the hygiene standards were questionable at best. The plates had stains, and the whole setup felt unhygienic.
Value for Money – 0/10 For the price they charge, I expected at least decent food, but instead, I got an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. There are so many better options in the city, and this place is just a waste of money and appetite.
Avoid at all costs. If you cherish your stomach and taste buds, do yourself a favor and eat...
Read moreAny people visiting Pune or Maharastra as a matter of fact should mandatorily visit Shree Swamisneh Dining Hall. This place will serve you an authentic Maharastraian, Brahmin experience. It is crowded however so I would suggest reserving a table in advance. Shree Swamisneh Dining Hall is brimming with culture, ethinicity, and hospitability. The food here especially the sweet items have been the most decadant food items I've had. The main course was diverse representing every aspect of Marathi Brahmin cuisine. The sweet-sour-spicy Amtti was my personal favorite. As for sweet items, you'll be provided with a few items and will be asked to choose from them. My family and friends were provided with Rabddi, Moong Halwa, Gulab Jamun, Shrikhand, Amrakhand and lastly Pooran poli. I tried the Rabddi and the Moong Halwa, & I have to say Moong Halwa was a stand out dish from the sweet items, I would highly recommend. The people here were also kind, polite and proffessional. The service was top-notch. To sum it up this was a culturally-immersive, Delectable and...
Read moreWent there for breakfast today only after confirming if it's atill ON, they confirmed it's open.
To our surprise almost all dishes were over, the leftover kinds were kept in the serving bowls.
When highlighted the manager assured to refill with fresh servings. We requested for idlis, fresh pav, medi vada and poha. Pav was served in few mins. After 10-15 mins The masala dosa came all cheery, when highlighted it was taken back and ordered to provide fresh and soft ones however even after waiting for another 15 mins no good luck
The uttapams were served without any salt in it and again it also was chewy, we happily gave them back informing we are not looking for any replacement of these uttapams
We asked them about Poha they said it's in making, no one bothered to check if it was served or not, the idlis came after 30 mins or so fresh, soft and hot ...they were good.
We were then asked for chai and coffee...both were ok to consume.
Until the bill time we were never served poha, and the items we had were not that great for the money...
