Best place in Dive Agar to enjoy simple homely pure veg meals along with ukadiche modak. Walk-in is not allowed and you need to inform them in advance. Also Modak is NOT part of thali and hence count needs to confirmed at the time of booking. Dining arrangements are similar to like marriage halls with several tables n chairs in a row and they will serve fresh piping hot food. We went there for dinner and menu was simple - Vangi batata rassa, kobichi bhaji, kakadi koshimbir, lonche, Waran Amti, soft chapati (ghadi chi poli), rice, papad n buttermilk. In dessert you can get shrikhad or ukadiche modak. Thali was priced at Rs 160 and Ukadiche Modak Rs. 25 a piece. They also have few local products for sale like thalipeeth bhajani, Kele peeth, kulith peeth etc. and Masala Paan for Rs. 20. Parking is available on premise for few cars or on the road which is comparatively wide n not so busy.
One suggestion is that they should allow limited number of walk-ins subject to food preparations (Guests are next to God) and menu should include more local n seasonal varieties like Dalimbyachi usal, phanas kel ful bhaji, mirgund, poha-batata papad, panage etc. If it's not possible to serve this in large quantities then they can introduce 'Special Thali' with...
Read moreBefore you visit this place you should book your table otherwise you won’t get food The owner himself manages this simple restaurant. He says his max capacity is 150 UNLIMITED meals so doesn’t take more people . Especially during weekends and holidays it is advisable to book in advance. The place is just a simple shed with table and chairs . The ladies serves the food and takes care of you well. Their hospitality is simply wonderful as they take care of you like a house guest with a smile We were really impressed with their efficient service. The food is very simple but tasty. The chapathis are made fresh and served hot. The meal consists of salad, subzi, dall, buttermilk and papad. All items are UNLIMITED and costs Rs 170 per person. They also serve Modak with Ghee and Shrikhand which costs extra. Everything is good and the only point is that the owner is very strict and doesn’t accommodate even 1-2 people even after repeated requests which is bit difficult to understand and accept as in todays world it is important to be bit flexible especially towards tourists who look forward to a simple food which is not easily available in such remote places Car parking is available outside on the road which usually...
