New Merins Restaurant — Restaurant in Meghalaya

We went to Merin's restaurant and asked for a coffee. But the coffee served was luke warm!! We called the waitress and asked to get a hot coffee. However, the waitress touched the side of the coffee cup saying it's warm.

It seems the waitress make it sound as though what we felt about the coffee that is cold is not true. Like what on earth, we customers are paying for the food and we want atleast a decent hot coffee which they refused or say they cannot do it. Hence my friend did not drink the lukewarm coffee anymore. However, please dont serve such luke warm coffee for 100/-. It doesn't make it right! To top that, the coffee was included in the bill! If you are going to serve coffee that is cold in the 1st place. We wouldn't have ordered Coffee but would've gladly opt for 'COLD COFFEE'.

Just let the customer know before hand that the machine cannot give hot coffee but only lukewarm. That wud safe a hell lot of problem for everyone.

Now with service pathetic, they even have the audacity to return the remaining money of the bill that we paid 3 rupees less. Of course if the service is good, we wouldn't mind to let it slide. But please I urge to not pull such stunt with back to back in disappointing customers, without at least letting know the customer that there is no change. Because it puts the management of the restaurant in the wrong light.

We want the Old Merins back with great food and professional service who will handle such...

I recently visited this restaurant and overall, it was a solid experience for the price. The place has a comfortable atmosphere—not too fancy, but clean and welcoming enough to enjoy a meal without any complaints. The service was decent; the staff were polite and responded quickly most of the time, though there were moments where things felt a bit slow The food was honestly better than I expected for what we paid. Tables were dirty when we arrived. So was the table next to us despite no one sitting there. Food was left from previous customer maybe. We ordered noodles and although there was only one other person in the entire restaurant the food was cold as though it was already prepared beforehand then served. . They just put the food on the table and left. Didn't even bother speaking properly. Atleast for Shillong standards this is pretty low.

We also asked for warm water to drink which was served in a flask which had a sticky handle and some stains which in other cases would not have been a problem but these stains...
