We had to take help of google map to reach here from police bazar, Shillong. It took a walk of 15 minutes from the shop of Hanumanbox Mahesh Kumar which is a famous shop of cloth material. But definitely we would have missed a great collection if we ignored it. A huge collection of beatles, moth and butterflies accross the hill is kept so beautifully in the basement of the house of Late Sudhir Kumar Sarkar. Now it is maintained by his yongest daughter. Entry fee for each adult is fifty rupees. Children are free. Camera charges applicable. Per shot they charge ten rupees for Indians. The collection of insects of hill area and also from the plane is rare and beautiful. Almost 1000 types of insects are kept here. You can clearly understand each from the displays hung there. Our children enjoyed it very much and we got spellbound visiting it. If you want a thorough visit please keep in hand one hour to have knowledge of insects. The land lady is also...
