89 China Town — Restaurant in Mira-Bhayander

Veg and non veg Chinese and Thai cuisine restaurant. Good taste, good service but little late, may be because I visit on Sundays each time.

I faced a major issue in service and taste once that's why I'm giving only 2 star. However that was a common problem for a restaurant I can understand because I'm also a restaurant owner but definitely if someone else was in my place then he will criticized too much and didn't give any star.

Actually we were a group of 12 persons and we visit around 10.45 pm on Sunday. We place the order but as the time pass we feel that only our food is not serving and other customers getting their services perfectly. Then there is a chaos in the staff and manager and cashier all in tension, running here and there, speaking on phone, trying to keep us calm etc etc. I immediately understood there is some shortage of any raw material, mostly in these situations the chicken get short as per my experience. As expected, when our food arrive, chicken not marinate properly, from inside not cooked properly, no good taste. Our whole mood spoiled.

What my suggestion to the restaurant is whenever this type of situation face, immediately give some discount (which they didn't give to us after asking also) to the customer to make him happy upto some extent, otherwise customer will not come again.

Overall staff behavior is also good. You can enjoy your meals in ac as well as outside in open area both. Location also good, easily noticeable from road. No specified parking but can get place on road side on Sundays, but for normal week days I'm not sure.

We were a large group of 14 people, we were craving for Chinese food that day so we came at this restaurant. We had ordered chicken munchow soup, lemon coriander soup, in starters Chinese platter and in main course chicken chilli burnt garlic rice. We were thrilled and excited to be here as we tried this earlier and food was of good quality and quantity(many years ago). Little we knew that this place has changed drastically not only in terms of food but staff management and ambience as well and it turned out to be the worst decision of ours that evening. Munchow soup was okay, not what we expected, lemon and coriander was warm water with coriander taste and some eggs with sour taste of lemon. Then about the platter it has 6 dishes like chilli chicken, barbecue chicken , etc from which we only received three after inquiring about the same the manager argued and didn't believe that we didn't receive 6 items as ordered. And out of 3 dishes, all were of the same taste, highly recommend do not try the platter. Last but not the least we still had some hope and hunger left in us so we did order chilli chicken burnt garlic fried rice, we got plain fried rice. We raised this as well with the manager he did the same thing as above. If you want to waste your money, time and want a mood killer than this place is highly recommend.

Review for 89 China Town Restaurant

I recently visited this restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. The place itself felt shady and was filled with constant noise, making it difficult to enjoy a meal. To make matters worse, the staff seemed completely inattentive, offering no assistance or attention throughout the visit.

We ordered two soups and three chicken starters, and the quality of the food was appalling:

Manchow Soup: This was overloaded with soy sauce, had no trace of vegetables, and tasted like raw sauce. It was inedible. 89 China Town Special Chicken Soup: Being the "special" soup, I had high expectations, but it turned out to be a disaster. It tasted like a mix of sweet sauce and cashew, with no chicken in sight. Chicken Lollipop: Completely raw inside and impossible to chew. Chilly Chicken & Barbecue Chicken: Both dishes were unrecognizable as chicken dishes. They were just deep-fried fritters made of cornflour, with little to no chicken content. When we addressed these issues with the restaurant manager, he showed no interest in resolving the problems and was dismissive of our concerns.

Overall, this was a complete waste of money and a highly disappointing experience. The food quality, service, and overall ambiance were far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this...
