Ashoka Restaurant — Restaurant in Mumbai

I’m a regular at Ashoka, but the last few visits have been disappointing enough that I felt compelled to share:

Old-tasting chicken, repeatedly: More than once the non-veg dishes—especially the chicken—have had that tell-tale stale smell and taste. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when you’re worried about freshness with every bite.

Non-veg lovers, beware: Until the kitchen sorts out its sourcing or storage, I’d recommend sticking to the vegetarian menu (or choosing another spot altogether).

Lacklustre ambience: Dim lighting and dated décor might be forgivable if the food wowed, but together they make the overall experience feel sub-par.

I’ve enjoyed meals here in the past, so I hope management addresses these...
