Atrium Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Mumbai

Everytime I visit Taj lands End it's always an awesome luxurious experience. This place has amazing sea side view. Located at Band stand Bandra West it attracts a very classy crowd including very popular Indian and International celebrities. Like today on our visit we were lucky enough to spot Brett Lee with his wonderful family right opposite our table. Wow right? :) So yes the ambience is 5/5. The staff is very friendly. The food is also good.

At the Atrium I had blueberry smoothie with basil which had this refreshing punch to it and we also tried salted caramel banana Milkshake which had this subtle saltiness of caramel and the shake was thick. It was lovely. Even the tea and sandwiches are good here. The lounge is clean , classy and the seating is comfortable.

So on my next visit I tried

Atrium special sandwich Rs 800 5*/5

Garlic butter, Arugula, masala egg omelette, grilled onion and melted mozzarella served with fresh salad and mixed spice potato wedges

Exotic fruit iced tea Rs 500 5*/5 A blend of Sri Lankan broken orange pekoe tea and fruit extracts of strawberry, apple and peach.

Cafe Mocha Rs 500 5*/5 Espresso blended with chocolate sauce and milk

We stayed at the hotel and decided to use the Atrium lounge on a few nights as it was quiet and served drinks until 1am. The atmosphere was good; however, the service and entertainment need significant improvement. The singers were not very good, which sounds harsh, but it's the truth.

The service was the main letdown. Even on quiet nights, when we were literally the only table, the service was extremely slow. One night, it took over 20 minutes to get one whiskey, and a further 35 minutes to get a refill. On the next night, it took over 30 minutes to get two English breakfast teas. However, the bill was produced with record speed—68 seconds when requested one night. On some nights, we didn't even have to request the bill; it was eagerly presented to us with the card machine 20 minutes before closing time. Even though we waited patiently for our drinks, they couldn't extend the same courtesy and let us finish those drinks before requesting payment.

I didn't try the food at the Atrium lounge, so I cannot comment on that. I'd advise going to the pool bar on floor L2, where the service is much better, even though they have far...
